When you want a rice a notch or two above the rest, the aromatic smell and flavor of Basmati is definitely a better option

I usually make a 2.5 cup "cooked" portion for myself. I use 'salt, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried parsley, Cajun seasoning, red pepper flakes and olive oil. Add some beans and/or smoked sausage and I'll tell ya...makes a great meal. Let all that come to a boil and then add the rinsed rice and cook for about 15-20 minutes on low heat or until water is absorbed then let sit for five minutes and then dig in. Next time I make it ill leave a photo.

It says extra long grain white rice, in reality it's more like medium with broken bits included. I mean, the price was good and I bought two bags but later on I bought some jasmine rice and the difference is obvious when placed side by side. The jasmine has longer grains and is plumper, while this rice looks like bits and bobs of the bottom of the barrel. The flavor is OK, it cooks up just fine whether you pre soak it or not. It's just not extra long grain as advertised, I've had this issue with several brands in the past with both white or brown versions. It won't be wasted, I can process it in the blender for rice flour to use in baking or making tofu.

This was great, and a good value. It’s rice, and I’m a. American so it all seems the same for the most part (I know, embarrassing). But for a solid staple and a great value this bag is rice is what you need. Besides, you can also use it like sandbags in a flood, to weigh down a hot air balloon or as a weapon if really necessary. Rice is Nice.

This rice dryed out all of my electronics from a boating accident. 3 phones, a GPS and my fiances tamagachi all fit inside. 4 hours later, I come back, and all the devices were revived! All thanks to this incredibly absorbing Mahatma long grain white rice. You can also cook with it.
