Great pen, great price
After trying the similar, slightly plainer chrome Graduate pen, I liked that one so well that I then ordered two of these Graduate Allure pens in the blue color, one to gift. This Allure pen writes just as well as the chrome Graduate and is another great inexpensive fountain pen. It's good for beginners or experienced pen users. It has a fine nib, which is a Western fine, similar to what would be a Japanese medium nib. I gave the section with the nib a quick wash with a drop of Dawn in warm water and rinsed it, and it has had no skips, hard starts, or any other problems. I don't know if that's necessary, but it's something I do with all new fountain pens. The nib is smooth and and lays down the perfect amount of ink. This is a good all-purpose pen if you like slimmer pens. It is long enough that I can use it unposted. The body is a very pretty shade of blue, not a basic plain blue, and looks just like its photo on my screen. Maybe more like a periwinkle blue. Waterman Serenity Blue is a good complementary color of ink for it. The country of origin is not marked, but the nib and cap are both marked Waterman. I use a Waterman converter in it so I can use bottled inks, but it comes with one long disposable ink cartridge and is packaged in a gift box. This is an excellent pen at a great price, and I'm now a big fan of Waterman pens. Just wish it included an ink converter for use with bottled inks, but many pens don't include one so that's not a deal-breaker. I got a good deal on a package of Waterman ink converters, so this pen has replaced the equally great Pilot Metropolitan as my recent go-to gift pen.

Affordable Waterman!
Some Waterman pens are out of my price range, but this one is fits my budget & lifestyle. Not only that, it is beautiful & writes well (so smoothly). It is a joy to use. The cartridges are a smidge on the pricey side, but they are high quality (just like this pen). The long cartridges last a long time so I get my money's worth. All around, a wonderful product.

It's a good starter pen, but not as smooth as the competition.
I've owned this pen for well over a year, so I can give a long term opinion. Pros: - The barrel and cap feel high quality, and have a durable finish. (No scratches yet.) - Pen is resistant to clogging - A plunger converter is available, making refills affordable. - Fine tip is easy to control and is well balanced, so it rarely bleeds through paper - I found that is has never leaked. Of course, I am not careless, so your milage may vary. Cons: - The grip for your fingers feels cheap and plastic - Nib is somewhat scratchy compared to the Pilot metropolitan and Lamy safari, which are near this in price. The quality isn't quite on the same level. On the whole, the scratchy nib actually does make it easier to control, but less pleasant to write with. It also looks nicer than the Lamy Safari, and comes in more appealing colors than the Pilot Metropolitan. Who is this for? If you want a stylish, more controllable pen, for casual notes, this is a good choice. However, if you are going to be doing a lot of writing, you might want to consider something else.

Quality Quality Quality!
A shock! I bought the pen not expecting much. To my surprise, it writes effortlessly even on rough, cheap coated paper. I used to think Pilot has a grip on inexpensive ink pen, but this pen opens my eyes, so much so that after testing it today, I immediately ordered the much more expensive "Carène" with 18K gold nib. The fine European nib is equivalent to Japanese medium fyi. This pen is lovely to hold in smaller hands, and worth way more than its price. Update: After using this pen for 4 days, it now writes smoother without skipping a beat even on cheap coated paper. Another sweet surprise is that the pen can easily write in position with the nib upside down, resulting in a super fine line and with 90% smoothness. That is an amazing feat with a steel nib. It proves that there is a high level of shaping an tuning of the nib. I eventually realize that the barrel is actually small for me to hold for more than 10 minutes. I will try the conventional barrel Waterman next.

Smooth writing - really enjoy using!
I had a collection of fountain pens when I was just 13 and then lost the case I carried them. It's 50 years later and I decided to spend some time trying out a few pens to see what they are now like - I love the aesthetics of them, really small and very affordable art pieces and I feel very artistic when I use them. So, after ordering 4 pens from various manufacturers, this pen stands out for the sheer smoothness and is a joy to use! My lost collection of years ago all wrote beautifully and a few of them were Waterman pens - nice to know the quality seems as good as it was 50 years ago. I highly recommend this pen and is well worth the price. I will definitely be purchasing additional Waterman pens!

Shimmer Ink Champ
I’ve had mine for 2 years now, and it handles shimmers better than my TWSBI and broad Nahvalar demonstrators. Never clogs and lays down a wet saturated line. Well balanced and lightweight, it never hurts to use for extended writing. Smooth for a fine steel nib, more so than a TWSBI or Lamy AL-Star medium less than my Esterbrook medium (but that pen is 10x the cost of this one). You can’t ask for a better pen in this price range. Only downside is the converters, they are sold separately and are stiff to use, but this pen is absolutely worth the money.

Going by the reviews I was bit perplexed but went for it considereing the colour (blue is my favourite always), and of course Waterman. I am not disappointed. The pen doesn't come with converter which is in case of Waterman and most pens on low price side from major brands. I don't like this practice. They should provide a converter because it's hardly a price. So, I had a spare waterman converter, filled up with Waterman Florida blue and started writing some notes. The pen is sleek, even a bit slimmer than Hemisphere range. In normal hands its quite balanced, ergonomic although I prefer the cigar shape of Waterman. The cigar shape is iconic. The pen writes well, the nibs smooth enough and will ease like butter with few more pages. Overall, at the discounted price its a great buy. Ofcourse safe and fast delivery courtesy seller and waterman makes it a great experience.

Aparência sóbria, sem ser clássica. A cor é moderna e de bom gosto, compondo com o anel prateado da tampa (cap). Tem bom acabamento, pena macia e molhada. Clipe elegante.

Great pen. It's lightweight and beautiful. However, it consistently skipped the first letter of each sentence, which is frustrating. I tried switching up my grip. I tried cleaning the nib in water in case there was any residue. No success. So far the returns process has been pain free.

It’s a waterman pen. Ideal for every day carry at work. Doesn’t matter that it’s a 20$ pen, it works flawlessly.
