Yes, this tea smells and tastes bad, but that's the nature of valerian root. The best thing you can do is combine it with a better smelling/tasting herb for your tea. It is calming and gets the job done

i never knew valerian was so good for anxiety! it’s always promoted as a sleep aid. One teaspoon, steep in boiling water for ten minutes, within a half hour I feel so relaxed. great alternative to benzos. great product, thank you.

However, make sure once opened you close zip type bag all the way, or better yet, toss into a sealed jar with one of those pressure lids. Smells to high heaven, and it takes getting used to. Again, the quantity is more than fair and the freshness is very obvious. If recommend.

This tea was so great - and totally did the trick. I bought this as a sleep aid - I've had it two nights in a row, and both times, I was out like a light. I'm also a tea snob, so I could see how great the quality is - no staining in the cup, no/low tannins. The smell in the packed bag is also strong at first (means it's fresh!), but don't worry; it doesn't persist or taste that way. Highly recommend!

Purchased with the Valerian Root to help sleep/cortisol control. Took 2g of each and steeped for 5 minutes. May be placebo but have definitely slept better the 3 nights since having this before bed. Warning: if you have cats they go crazy around this stuff and try and drink the tea.

Es de muy buena calidad aunque elpacking deja que desear. El sabor al infusionarla es muy bueno y se notan los efectos relajantes rápidamente.

Lo compré para acompañar un mix de hierbas relajantes que no acababan de hacer efecto y dí en el clavo. Desde que lo añadí, duermo muchisimo mejor, lo malo es que la raíz de valeriana huele muy fuerte y es bastante desagradable, el sabor de la infusión se hace algo fuerte por ese sabor, pero es que el resultado es tan bueno, que merece la pena.

Efficace pour aider à l’endormissement, et personnellement ment le goût un peu fort ne me dérange pas : je mixe la valériane avec une autre tisane nuit et tout se passe très bien. Ne pas en abuser cependant, une tasse suffit, sinon, gare à la tentation de rester dans son lit le lendemain matin… Autre effet secondaire : l’odeur rend fou mes chats !
