Fairies 101: An Introduction to Connecting, Working, and Healing with the Fairies and Other E lementals Review: This book is a great simple and fast read - This book is a great simple and fast read. But don't let that stop you from ordering it. It is filled with lots of information about the fairies and how to connect and work with them. It also gives stories about other peoples connections with the fairies and how they have helped in there live. I bought this book to read as part of Doreen's Fairiologist course and I am so happy that I did. This book is great for that young child that has an interest in fairies, and for the adult that wants to work with them. But it is also great for those that just want to learn more. It's under 200 pages so for me it was an afternoon read but a great one. So pick yourself up a copy while it's in stock and learn a bit about living with the fairies, we all have the not me fairy, and I didn't do it fairy in our homes so lets add some helpful and fun ones as well. Also it's something great to read with your kids and enjoy. Review: I loved this book! - Colorful, easy-to-read introduction to the elemental world of fairies. Informative yet "bright and breezy" ... beautifully illustrated. I think it would make a lovely gift. This may sound strange, but I think If you allow yourself to relax and simply "go with the flow", you will get more out of this book than if you stridently focus and "ponder" this topic while reading it.

Wonderful stories of human encounters with the fairies
This is definitely a "Fairies 101" book and not an advanced or scholarly text on fairies-- but that's what it's meant to be. It's an introduction to fairies, their roles on earth as guardians of nature and animals, and how we can communicate with them, help them in their mission, and ask for their help. The illustrations are beautiful, though at times it's a little off-putting to always have the fairies depicted as voluptuous model-types. But they are lovely nonetheless. What I appreciate most about this book is the stories of people's interactions with fairies. It gives a sense of the kinds of circumstances in which we can call upon the fairies, as well as our own responsibilities in relating to them. I've read a lot of Celtic lore about fairies, especially the first-hand accounts collected by the poet William Butler Yeats from the rural Irish a century or so ago. I've always struggled to reconcile the stories of fairies as malevolent tricksters who will steal your cow or carry you off never to be seen again, hide your shoes, and so on. Doreen Virtue explains that fairies, while willing to help and befriend us, respond to our own energy. If we do anything to harm the land, are careless about taking care of this earth, are cruel or thoughtless toward the animals and other living things that dwell here, we can expect their wrath rather than their friendship. But if we aid them in their work of caring for the natural world of our planet, they will be happy to respond to our needs and requests as well. Again, this is Fairies 101, not an advanced treatise. It's an introduction. It's also a required text for Doreen Virtue's online Fairyologist course, which I just completed. Adults and children alike will enjoy this book.

A Good Overview for our World's 'Environmental Angels'
An overall compilation of 'all about fairies' and well done by the worlds renown premier angel and fairy lady. Exactly what 101 of anything is about, the primer and good beginning for one who wants to know about these amazing elementals in our world. I recommend this book for anyone curious about fairies and also curious about how to help our environment and animals that we share our lives with in this world.

Elementary on elementals
To me, it was a fast reading book.It has a number of stories in each chapter about people who have had experiences with the fairies. It would be good for teens, and maybe a little younger, on up, not difficult by any means to read, and it might change your way of thinking about elementals.

Was very excited about receiving this book
The reason I gave 3 stars is because I felt that the book was not horrible but it was lacking in information. I had high expectations after reading all the good reviews on this book, and what I did like was the illustrations but the information in the book looks like it was written for pre-teens. It was not descriptive and does not actually give information on fairies, it could have been named angels 101 and kept the same words in the book and it would have not made a difference. If you're someone that is wanting to have a better understanding of the fairies and wanting to know the different species and how to connect to them then you will be wasting your time with this book. The book is more smiles and rhymes than any actual information at all.
