Chop or slice without strain!
This is a game changer! I was constantly asking my husband to cut things for me because of arthritis in my fingers/hands. It was worse after surgery, when I could only use one hand. I decided to try this. It's great! I can use my whole hand, without straining my thumb. I can chop veggies, or slice meat with a rocking motion. The only thing I haven't mastered is baby carrots, which like to roll away. Unlike straight knives, the size/shape of this makes it easy to cut things like salad in a bowl. My husband said "You use that every day!" Yes, I do. I just wish the cover went on more easily so I could stick it in my purse and take it to restaurants.

Great knife
I’m an arm amputee, so a good, manageable knife is a must! My previous rocker knives have sufficed, but this one is so much easier and better for me! The smaller piece is easier to use and the pressure is more focused, resulting in a nicer, more custom bite of meat. I just ordered a second one!

Perfect!
Amazing! This thing is so sharp. It cuts through steak like butter. It is very sturdy and I haven't had any issues with rust or anything. This has been a game changer for me since I only have one arm.

Lost a Star
At 71 I lost the use of my right hand due to a tumor in my shoulder area. I have been (re)learning many tasks. One of these is the once simple task of cutting my food. I was advised that a curved blade knife woul help and I bought this several months ago. It proved to be the perfect solution. I don't have to ask my wife to cut my food any more. The build and material quality is really impressive! The blade continues to hold its edge after many uses. As a former wood engraver, I know cutting tools. This thing is impressive! The plastic blade shield is reliable enough for me to drop it into my pocket when going out to eat, but I still think I may have a leather sheath made for it. The quality makes the investment worthwhile. Thank you for giving back a bit of my dignity. UPDATE: I lost my first knife to the TSA a couple weeks ago (stupid of me). I ordered a replacement because I would be lost without it. It was the same great knife, but the plastic blade shield doesn't fit onto the knife! WTF!! FIXED: I found the perfect leather sheath for my knife. No more struggles with that damn plastic cover. https://a.co/d/9diiiva

Perfect adaptive knife-good quality.
I have a weak right arm and never wanted to go out to eat because I could not cut my own food. I have MS and this knife is a game changer, I went out to eat and cut my own steak, cut it like butter. Handle handle works perfect and will even work if your hand is contracted. Highly recommend.

INCREDIBLE tool!
We purchased this for our daughter who has some mild paralysis on one side. Let me just say, I wish we had found this earlier in her life. I think it would have helped with her independence early on. It is incredibly sharp and SO easy to use. Her first try was going cutting into a piece of pork chop.....it cut like butter. No more will she have to ask for help to cut her food or stick a whole piece on her fork and bite away. Again, I wish we found this earlier for her. Incredible tool!

For a one handed guy, this is a Godsend.
I had a stroke in '19, which rendered my left arm nearly useless. Trying to use a regular steak knife is an exercise in futility and frustration, especially for proteins like pork chops, and some steaks. Enter Vertigrip! When I cut into a sirloin, I need to cut across the grain to achieve that tender bite I enjoy so well. The sharp blade of the Vertigrip can cut the thinnest slices without much effort, and for stubborn cuts a quick rocking of the blade makes short work of the endeavor. I love this thing! To clean, I just lay a wet napkin on the edge of the table and wipe it off using the table's edge as a makeshift scraper. The only negative I have encountered is the plastic sheath doesn't snap on and off as easily as I would like it to. But I suspect that will change over time. Suffice it to say that I can use it successfully and safely with only one hand, which was my main objective.

Packaging needs a change!
Up front-the manufacturer needs to do a face palm about the packaging. This is a product designed to increase independence for those of us with decreased hand strength or other disabilities, and they put it in very difficult to open plastic packaging. Not good! If I hadn't ordered special shears that arrived on the same day (and in easier to open packaging!), I'd have had to wait for my spouse to help - pretty much the opposite of "being more independent." After that, the protective cover for the knife blade was super hard to remove. It took two hands, which luckily I have. For a knife advertised to help those who may not be so lucky, this is not ok. I get that safety is important, but not being able to remove the thing alone is a downer. Design flaw there. There must be a better way. The cover is made of hard plastic, so it won't loosen up over time. Third, and this is just a statement - you will need to sharpen the blade before using the knife. It's not super dull, but it's not chef sharp, either. Last, this product would be greatly improved by making the handle magnetic, or simply adding a magnetic strip to the handle. It won't fit in any cutlery drawer. Once that too- tight safety cover is off, it might be better to store it on the side of the fridge? Or, include the magnet as an add-on extra for those who want it.
