Preschool & Kindergarten Skills, Grades PK - K (Home Workbooks) Paperback – January 17, 2002

I purchased this for my son the summer prior to his attending Kindergarten, and it was great. It is cheap, light-weight and the activities are just the right mix of skills, length, and difficulty. My son never complained about doing them, and actually enjoyed them. It's all black and white, which we are OK with, as we tend to think things for kids these days are too flash-bang.I know kids going into Kindergarten are all at different levels of development, so don't take this as a rule, but for my son at least this book is too basic for kindergarten. I would label it Pre-K, not K.

I used to be an infant/toddler/preschool teacher, but on days I have to keep my 4 year old son home from preschool, I use this book to keep him busy and learning. He's practicing writing, and learning to read words. He loves the activities like connect the dots, cutting, gluing, and coloring specific pictures. I sit with him and watch him do his work, helping him when he needs it and he keeps handing me completed pages! The art is cute and kid-friendly. Thanks for a great educational tool! Perhaps they could make one with known characters in the future, like Disney or Nick Jr.

Even though my son loves this workbook it couldve been considerably longer, and by longer it couldve had more pages in it. I can only let him do a few pages a day becuase if he does more hed be finished woth it by now. We just got it a few days ago. The quality of the workbook is actually just for preschool, because kids in kindergarten and i say this becuase i spend alot of time in my sons preschool at martin luther king in oakland, theyre at a more advanced rate. The kindergarten should be taken out of the title other wise no major concerns.

I ordered this product over other products based on the reviews. It is more than I'd hoped for as far as a variety of activities for my 4 year old whom we have chosen to homeschool. We have already worked on several pages and my daughter loves it. It is a progressive workbook so the activities get more challenging (but still targets the preschool/kindergarten age) the further into the book we get. Thankfully we packed this with some of her other school stuff when we came camping because she saw me writing this review and wanted to do some school this morning. Love this book!

Although the workbook is pretty short, it does offer a nice variety of challenges and activities. My daughter and I watch children for a living and this was a nice addition to our collection of workbooks. We use it as a master copy, and make photocopies for the children. This way, we can do the same activities more than once, or use it on multiple children. The workbook is very useful for our curriculum.

This book was only ok for my 4 year old. I bought it because it had a little bit of everything to learn - only it wasn't very challenging for him. I prefer other books to this one - like the books by school zone (they are colorful and fun). My son likes this book mostly because it has pages to cut and practices using scissors. He also likes the stickers but they are very small and while there are 140, many of the stickers are repeated. We will complete this book - it is still good to practice, but I would have liked something more fun and challenging.

Bought this for my 3 year old daughter and it is too small. She is almost done with this pamphlet and I just bought it for her last week. I ordered the daily learning drills grade K 416 pages and I will see how she does. My daughter is starting school this fall and she already know how to write her ABCs and 123s and name. We will see...

This book is AMAZING! I purchased it for my three-year old daughter, who is in preschool. We work with her at home a lot to prepare her for kindergarten. It provides a good guideline for what to focus on. She enjoys the activities. Many are a little too advanced for her, but I believe that we can keep using it throughout the year and she will grow with them! Perfect for a little extra activity at home!

I would reorder and infact i did. The only down fall is all the pages are in black and white, The good thing is the books are thick with plenty of pages and I didn't realize it came with stickers.
