I purchased this bag as my fiancee's son got married across the country this past weekend. We went through a lot for my fiance's new suit (between the cost and many alterations), so I wasn't going to risk it (or my dress) getting ruined or lost, so flying out there this bag was a carry-on. Going through the airports, I had it on top of my rather small roller bag via the rear handle "strap" and it was great until I actually boarded the flight. This particular plane had narrower aisles, so I had to take the bag off of the roller bag which made it a little awkward to go down the aisle with my roller bag behind me and holding this bag in front of me. As my fiancee only had a small shoulder laptop bag, on the connecting flight he carried this on the plane instead while I managed my roller bag. It fit fine in the overhead compartments, and these were Southwest 737 Max 8's. On our return flights I checked the bag as I wasn't as worried about the suit as I was on our initial flights (as he likely wont need it again and because if it got lost the airline would have to reimburse us). But as some people complained about the plastic zippers, out of caution I did get some wire-shanked TSA locks and secured the zippers together. As the metal on the zippers isn't large enough, I wound the wire through an opening in the well-stitched nylon zipper pulls (with the clips on the end) but I "double-wrapped" it to make sure the zippers were held tightly together (if it only went through once there would be a wide gap due to the length of the lock wire). On the side where the top zipper goes across I was able to pull the wire through the end of the metal zipper pull as well, and that one I also wound through twice. I was skeptical that the bag would be able to make it through being tossed around by TSA and other bags being stacked on top of it, so to give it some extra stability I cable tied the handles together to help hold the bag together in case the top zipper started to give. This bag was the first of ours to come off the carousel at baggage claim and I was surprised it was in amazing shape. I was very very impressed. I don't know if/when I'll need to use this bag again, but I feel confident that it will hold up. But, I will use a velcro tie for the handles next time as the cut end of the cable tie dug into my hand (I apologize to the TSA baggage handlers in PHX, MDW and ORF!).

Roomy bag, great as a carry-on! Zippers and buckles are cheaply made, but, overall, great travel bag

My son loves the "Reacher" TV show. So I saw the actor that plays him on YouTube for the GQ "Things I Can't Live Without" episode and he had a bag like this that he loved. I have always wanted something like this for when I travel. So I got it, and it does not disappoint! Great design. Fits my suits; I got in three. My shoes and other stuff too. Quality ripstop like material on the outside. All the zippers are quality. But the main thing is the handstraps are good, they don't look like they can take a beating so don't go playing tug of war with them. Also the handles will not go over a man's shoulder. So use the really well made shoulder strap. Makes me wanna go on Amtrak and find a place to go for a weekend....

I really debated on which one of these types of bags to buy as a gift. I was happy with the quality on this one and my husband liked it.

Man oh man. I wanted so much to keep this bag. This concept and actual bag is awesome quality. Durable fabric and well thought out pocket placement. Even now, I want to keep this bag somehow; however, they cheaped out on the zippers. They are plastic and one of mine separated after one use. With the particular way thr bag must zip, they should have used metal zippers. The zippers are a critical function of this bag succeeding and mine failed. I debated replacing the bag with a new, but I figured that may break also after a few months, then I am stuck. So, I sent it back. But I love this bags concept and we received so many compliments. During the one use, my sons suits, 2, stayed nicely inside. Tis Tis. If it only had better zippers. I wrestled to zip them. I hope you have better luck with yours, if your get.

I love this duffel bag! I got a similar duffel bag to replace my own beat up duffel, and loved it so much I wanted to replace my SO's even more beat up bag. But the one I got for myself turned out to be a bit heavy even when empty, so I got this one for him in hopes that it's lighter. And it is! This duffel has a larger size, but I got it in the normal size because it's dimensions match the carry-on dimensions for most airlines. That said, it's plenty large enough to fit my SO's suit. It still looks to be water resistant and looks great to take on a business trip or a wedding or any other short trips, possibly up to a week. I think the ability to put a suit in the garment bag section of the duffel and then zip up the sides to form the sides of the duffel is genius. It takes up practically no space and prevents a lot of the wrinkles in the suit. There are a few convenient pockets in the interior, which can hold things like laptop chargers and socks. I also like the side pockets, particularly the separate pocket for shoes (which will take up space in the duffel itself). I managed to fit an entire week's worth of clothes with no issue. If you're bringing more than one pair of shoes though, you might run into some space issues. Overall, a great purchase!

1st this bag is amazing! I thought All I could fit was my suit and shoes and carry around nice, which I was ok with. Then I open it and it has tons of pockets and when you load your suit and close the bag you can insert your shoes on the side and it has a cool cover on it. I didn't know that you can also use it as a duffle bag!!!!!!!! Wow!!!! I love it. Only complaint is the zipper is hard to close in the beginning when folding.... other than that it's a must buy.
