Delicious
Simple rice proteins without a lot of unnecessary additives. Great product. It was recommended by one of my doctors.

Best tasting rice protein powder I've had in awhile
I don't do well with whey and soy, and I hate breakfast food. A naturopath turned me onto rice protein powder over 20 years ago, and it's what I've had for breakfast daily since then. I can't do milk, so I blend it with water and some kind of fruit - usually berries or baby food fruit (which is just pureed fruit). I now mix it with Zint grass fed beef collagen on the advice of my naturopath, so I only use one scoop of the powder. Yes, it's a bit gritty - nature of the beast. I'm sure blending it with milk or nut milks might smooth it out, but I'm used to it. I've tried some rice protein powders which taste and smell rancid and are just awful to use. Between the stench and the taste, I was grossed out. I was out of brands to try when I found Growing Naturals. It does not have that rancid oil smell and taste. It's pretty bland, but the things I add to it make it a lot more pleasant. I could add my own cocoa powder and almond milk and it would taste great, but I think the fruit is healthier. Rice protein powder is easy to digest. I am so grateful to have found this brand, and hope they never change this product.

Best allergen free source
excellent easy source of protein. as a vegan & hypoallergenic/sensitivity to most derivatives of protein (soy, whey, pea, nuts) i’ve found the best supplement to fulfill my much needed requirements, since my new dietary lifestyle ive realized i cut out tons protein from my diet. symptoms began matching with protein deficiency; hair thinning (head, brow & lashes) low estrogen & off balance hormones, weight gain in unwanted areas & loss of muscle. overall wrecked havoc on my image. i decided to give this brown rice powder a try & already saw healing a week later. more energy for fitness, a little chalkier for smoothies as stated but i add them into vegan baked goods as a partial flour substitute & tastes amazing, getting my supplements through my favorite tasty & allergen-free recipes will be my daily protein intake

DON'T BUY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO EAT CHALK DUST
AWFUL CHALKY TASTE! GROSS! I wish I could send the whole thing back and get a refund...what a waste of $$. I use protein powder in smoothies and a few other items to supplement...I tried this because it was an organic vegan option (I'm not vegan but it fit my dietary restrictions/allergies) and it was a bit cheaper than the brand I had been buying at the grocery store. I will stick with the Jay Robb egg white protein powder from now on even if it is more expensive - this is NASTY and no amount of strawberries, spinach, and banana can cover up the chalky taste or texture.

Great for Serious Diets
I am on a much needed diet and my day consists of two shakes, one "real" meal (no red meat) with lots of veggies, and snacks between those three. Protein drinks have been important to me over the past 5 months. I've tried whey protein and soy protein, but my two RN daughters told me the rice protein was much better for my use. I've tried several types but have been on Growing Naturals for the past 2 months and am totally sold. Plain is not so tasty, but I like the Vanilla powder. My last order was for 4 of the 2 pound containers which lasts me about 2 months with a twice a day shake. I will continue to reorder this amount and will taper off to one shake per day when I reach my target weight in another 28 pounds. I mix with soy milk, chia seeds, and 6 frozen strawberries and get a great tasting smoothie. Good high speed blender gets rid of any grittiness, even the chia seeds. Not only does it taste good, but it works. I've lost 62 pounds in 5 months. I thought I would tire of the shakes, but I change things up with blueberries, mixed fruits, or bananas from the yard when they are ripe. Even avocados go well with this powder. A little more expensive than other similar products, but I figure I'm worth it. I highly recommend this product.

Mixed reviews after changes in formula
So, I've been drinking this stuff on and off for a number of years. I was a big fan of the old formula, and I have mixed feelings about the new formula, but yet I keep drinking it. I'll share some of those mixed thoughts here. First, I'll say, I'm super picky about protein powders for a few reasons. I'm pretty digestively sensitive to a lot of things and I have some allergies. I can't digest whey, I'm allergic to nuts and soy, and I struggle to digest fillers sometimes. Rice-based protein supplementation are my best bet, and I've tried a few different kinds. I do some strength training so I prioritize a higher protein diet, but I mostly save protein drinks for when I don't have the appetite for a meal. Positive: -I think this new formula tastes better than the old, less chalky. I usually hate stevia but the flavors here blend well enough. It's the only formula I will drink straight into lactose-free milk or oatmilk or hemp milk, instead of needing to do a smoothie with things like fruit and peanut butter to make it palatable, which also means its easier to squeeze into my macros when I want a protein boost but not much else. -I love the multivitamin fortification in this formula. I try to get most of my micronutrients from "real food" but I definitely notice a boost in my hair and nail strength when drinking this regularly. -Packaging became more sensible- smaller bottle to fit the content. I hate when these giant bottles are half air, it doesn't work for my counter space or in the waste of materials. Cons -Protein content has significantly reduced with this new formula. I use a double serving each time to get a higher protein drink, which means I'm going through more of this stuff faster, which also makes it more expensive. -Expense isn't a great value and has gotten more expensive in this new formula with less protein content, so I save my usages. -Again, with how sweet it is on its own from stevia, I don't know that I'd put this powder into any fruit-based smoothie, and I haven't experimented with blends outside of plain milk. So, less versatile in its use, at least for my tastes. Overall: A good-enough option to keep using regularly.

Best tasting for plant based protein
I've tried only a few plant based protein powders but prefer the flavor of this one. Pea protein tends to have a more chalky and legume-y taste, and more fat per serving. This brown rice protein delivers a little less protein per serving but significantly less fat and calories than the others I have tried, which were rice based with other plant proteinsources added. The taste of this vanilla in particular is less bitter and chalky than the other ones I tried. This was the only thing I could keep down in the morning during pregnancy and was a lifesaver later while I was awaiting gallbladder surgery and avoiding fats at all costs. I recommend blending with a banana, a bit of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and lots of ice to further diminish that chalky taste you just can't escape with protein powder 😂 And a great value when you compare the cost per serving to others, too.
