The button switch sticks out far enough to turn on no matter how you grip the handle. Buy it.
Light on the LG 305 comes on no matter how you grip the handle. Red is bright and install is easy. Would buy again. Will order a third one for the model S&W 217 22LR, tried it on and it fits perfect. Wish the LG305 had a green laser because the LG350g green laser button switch is unreliable and inconsistent. I had to return the lg350g.

Easy installation, bright during daylight.
The grip was very easy to install, and took about 2 minutes. It's comfortable if a bit "rubbery" so it can have the same issues as other rubber grips, like feeling sticky or gunky when it gets warm. Not a big deal, and definitely not an issue specific to this product. The laser is activated by a small button at the front of the grip, about where your middle finger is supposed to rest. For my hand, it turns on easily when I grip it but I could see it not being right for everyone. The laser light itself is very bright. It can be seen easily in broad daylight, but it's not going to be blindingly bright for the user at night either. I mostly bought this model because there are only like 2 options for the Judge and this was the one I had heard of, but it still gets no complaints from me and I'd easily recommend it to anybody.

Turns your snubby into a whole new weapon system
This laser system is remarkable in several ways. Crimson Trace allows you to add a low-light capability to your pistol with minimum effort and without changing the dimensions or weight of the gun. The switch turns on very naturally when you grip the gun (or can be turned off if desired). Most importantly, it overcomes the tiny sight radius of a short barrel pistol. I was startled at just how accurate my tiny little .38 bodyguard turned out to be. Using this laser, I can consistently keep a 7 inch group at 50 feet....which is simply impossible using the sights. I was able to find the batteries for 2 dollars per set in a grocery store and each set reportedly lasts up to 4 hours. This is an excellent product.

Slight downgrade as a grip from stock, but still good.
I installed on a 4-in tracker. Fit up to the handle is pretty good, fairly tight from the top, but you do have to make sure you get it all fit in correctly. You can get it assembled and have the grip rock a little if not fully seated. Overall as a grip it is a slight downgrade. I really like the stock grip which has an extra flare out to help the pinky stay on, The laser grip is rounded in making it easier for the pinky to slide off. It could use another assembly screw in the circled area, to keep the area under the trigger guard held together better. There is a slight gap here shown by the arrow. The activation button seems to line up on the joint of my finger, making it not as easy to activate with a natural grip. This of course will vary by person, but I would have preferred a slightly fatter grip which would have brought my finger out a bit and allowed the meat of the finger to activate the button as well as just having a wider grip. Overall I do like them and will keep them on, I just like a few of the other laser grip models better than this one.

Crimson Trace LG – 105, 305, 350 Comparisons
The LG – 105, 305 and 350, all fit the Smith and Wesson J frame revolver. The differences are: The 105 is exactly like the stock grips, but have a hard plastic feel to them. The 305 and 350 have a softer rubber feel to them and are both about a half inch longer than the stock gripp. This allows the pinky, a place to land and better gun control during recoil. The 305 is a bit larger, forward and rearward than the stock grip. The 350 is even larger, forward and rearward than the 305. All three are about the same width side to side. I have larger hands and prefer the 305 over the others. It gives me the best access to the trigger, and best gun balance. The grip laser switch works very well and is easy to activate. The red laser itself is easy to see, except in direct sunlight. Very hard to pick up then. The larger grips do not seem to hinder concealed carry positions for me. And I am able to use a Pachmayr speed loader with all three grips as well. Hope this helps settle some confusion!

An Excellent Lasergrip for Taurus Judge
I had read the review by Big Jon, before my Crimson Trace LG-375 Lasergrip arrived, and was concerned about his description of the loose fit of this grip on the Taurus Tracker Judge. My Judge is the 3" chambered SS Mag, but upon researching it with Taurus, I found that the handgrip on the 3' is exactly the same as the normal 2 1/2". When it arrived I found that if you didn't slide the button batteries in carefully, and correctly, it would cause the batteries to stick out slightly, yet still function. This wouldn't allow the grip to completely close as designed. Also the right grip, the half holding the batteries should be locked into it's designed space very slowly and carefully. When it is into it's seat, there was absolutely no play on that half. It made me think Big Jon may have not gotten it completely into it's seat. Careful placement was very obvious, when it was in; but I saw how it could still be assembled, even when that side wasn't in it's correct position; so be very careful of the placement. The left side slipped on perfectly, and after screwing the 2 included grip screws into place, there was absolutely no movement in the Lasergrip. One other note, Crimson Trace also included a 2 battery per year replacement sheet to send in for free replacement batteries for life. Nice surprise! I haven't been to the firing range yet, since I just received it today, but so far, assembly and the fit is excellent. I'm a retired tool&diemaker, and the molding for this accurate fit impressed me; so therefore I'll give this product a 5 star rating.

Extremely Disappointed
I purchased this for a new Taurus Judge, horrible, horrible, grip fit to the gun. The grip does not seal along the upper frame, in fact one of the holes in the frame is left partially exposed. I don’t know what has happened to Crimson Trace, this is the second laser grip that I have returned in the last 8 months. The first was for a .380 and it didn’t work right out of the box. I have other Crimson Traces that I purchased a long time ago that are still working fine but I could not recommend them now, their quality has really tanked. Its a real shame, at one time they were a great product. I might also add that the Crimson Trace grips are terrible compared to the original Taurus grips.
