I loved reading this book It helps to separate Negative from Positive and that in turn explains how best to be a good person

This delightful little book is full of helpful sayings and advice as one might expect. I found it very calming to read every morning before facing the day. Somehow or other it seemed uncanny that each particular day's reading was applicable to what was happening in my life. Recommend it to anyone who may be going through a bad patch and just needs some bit of daily short reading thoughtfulness.

But it's written by one of the most highly respected and influential people of our time, and that makes it worth buying! Some of what he has to say is obvious, some a little strange due to his use of English, but every page should be read and absorbed. I bought this simply because of who wrote it, and am glad I did. Nice addition to my shelves. I wish the paper quality had been first rate though, as this is a book to keep.

The book was smaller than I thought but, I found it very interesting and it's made more determined to keep meditating. I have been looking to take up Buddhism. The book has inspired me to look further. To find a bit more. Even if, in the end, I don't take up Buddhism, if it helps me get more out of meditation then that's a positive in itself.

Wasn't overly impressed with this book actually. Its just page after page of random phrases and sentences - Not what I was expecting. kind of reminded me of the old TV program (for those of us old enough) where randomly "grasshopper" would reminisce on a sentence his king Fu master had come out with. Even if it had been chaptered into say "Words to help with Sadness" or words to help with ??? whatever" then at least if you wanted help with something - like one of the other reviewers said it helped - then you could at least skip to that chapter.

Fantastic little book and easy to carry around as is quite small. Rather than a book where you can read in depth about Buddhism it's more of a book of quotes but very thought provoking and we would say helpful on developing a kind an positive Buddhist mindset. I really like this book, I take it with me everywhere I go.

As someone new to buddhism this book is a real help on my pathway. A book I will re-read again

This book is full of practical wisdom, with only a few precepts that I couldn't quite decode. I'd recommend this to anyone needing a healthier perspective in their life.

I was pretty excited about this. Sad to say it wasn't quite as spiritual, motivational or captivating as I had hoped it would be.

Ett kort citat på varje sida... jag hade väntat mig en något större bok med mer matnyttigt innehåll... Besvikelsen när det kom en liten pluttbok med lite text i. Dessutom tycker jag engelskan känns konstig, jag har vanligtvis inga problem med att läsa på engelska men bokens engelska känns omständlig.

Not what I was expecting. A bit dry.

A wonderful little book. This is a great "take along" book for those times when you are away from your usual surroundings. I love having it.

Second book I have bought in the series, perfect quotes on every page…
