Excellent for new DE folks
I was new to DE shaving and really didn't know how to pick a blade. This was an excellent and inexpensive way to try some out. There are many sampler packs out there, but I think this particular one is known to only include quality blades that are readily available. With six different brands, I would guess that MOST shavers could find one that works well for them. I took another reviewer's suggestion and tried the following in order of mild to aggressive: Wilkinson Personna Platinum Gillette Platinum (favorite) Kai Astra Feather Kai was a little too aggressive so I reverted to Gillette Platinum. For what it's worth, I have yet to cut/nick myself after three months of DE shaving, and I think it's because I started with the mildest blade, got used to it for 4-6 shaves, then advanced to the next aggressive one. Highly recommend this sampler set.

Great selection
Hey, I just started using double edged safety razors and wanted to try several blade selections. This selection is top of the line and has blades ranging from mild to aggressive. Good quality blades in sealed boxes of 5 or 10 count. Seller did a nice job of selecting quality blades to offer. If you have no idea which blade you might be interested in, or have had your eye on one of these blades, this is a great sampler. Update: 1/1/2021 Had time to use all the blades, except the Wilkinson Sword and here is my opinion. Feather - Sharpest but not too smooth. Astra - Not quite as sharp as the Feather and more smooth. Kai - Sharper than the Personna and Gillette, but not as smooth. Personna - About as sharp as the Gillette, but the Gillette is a bit smoother. Gillette - About as sharp as the Personna and smoother. Favorite for a mild blade was the Gillette and for a more aggressive blade was the Astra. These are my opinions as an average user -- a professional may have differing opinions. Definitions: Sharp - ease of blade cutting hair. Smooth - how much skin irritation.

Nice sampling of blades
Being new to wet shaving with safety razors I bought this sampler pack so that I could try various blades to see what I liked best. After trying all of the blades I found that for me, the Feather and KAI blades give me the closest shaves with no irritation. I used up almost all of the other blades and they all did ok. Some didn’t seem to shave quite as close as the above mentioned brands, and some seemed more likely to leave nicks and cuts on my face, but they were all usable so I didn’t feel like I totally wasted my money on them. Switching from disposable blade razors I quickly learned that the right blades and shave soap for your particular skin and beard can make a HUGE difference in the quality of shave with a safety razor. This sampler pack allowed me to try multiple blades with a single purchase to figure out what works best for me. If you are looking to get into wet shaving with safety razors this sampler is a great way to try various blades with minimal investment.

Wilkinson Sword not as pictured
Fine sample pack. Be warned though. The wilkinson sword blades pictured may not be what you receive. I've used the German wilkinson many times and they are a great blade. What came with the sampler was a garbage blade. Rough shave.

Some of the very best double edge razors.
This variety pack of razors are some of the very best on the market today. They are an excellent value and can really help users find the perfect blades for their needs. Shaving is a very personal experience and this variety pack will help people save money. I snap the double edge blades in half and only use once side on my straight razor. I only use each blade once per shave to avoid irritation. So it is important for me to find cost effective blades to do so. If I were to rate the blades based on how sharp and smooth each blade is during a shave it would be in this order 1) Wilkinson Sword (Germany) $$ 2) KAI (Japan) $$ 3) Astra (Russia) $ 4) Feather (Japan) $$$ 5) Persona (USA) $$ 6) Gillette platinum (Russia) $$ By far the cheapest blades for the money are the Asta blades. They are third only to far more expensive blades but preform almost as well. The feather blades are the most expensive. They are almost too sharp. They are so aggressive that it is easy to nick yourself even as an experienced straight razor shaver. The other blades are okay but not any where in the same league as the first three. I would assume that all of these blades are very durable and can be used many times, however the price point allows for one time use. (Maybe not for the feather blades). If I was to buy bulk blades I wouldn’t hesitate to buy Astra, Wilkinson sword, or Kai blades. Just make sure the Astra blades are made in Russia, Wilkinson swords are made in Germany and the Kai blades are made in Japan.

Good quality for those of us butterfly razor users.
This was a good deal since I use a butterfly razor. I liked having a sample of the various other companies razors.

Good razors
Excellent selection of razors. It helped me realize that I like Feathers and Astras. None of the other razors offered quite as good a shave as those two, but of course YMMV. Definitely pick it up; the razor count in this sampler pack should easily last you several months.

Good variety of well known blades
All the blades I received were well known brands and of recent stock (no Russian blades). All are easy to buy in bulk too, so no worries about not being able to find whichever one I liked best. I'm still working my way through the different varieties, so I can't comment on each blade yet. But, I like the first one I tried enough to buy again.
