Update. I’m using these for approx 40 children books of mixed sizes. Every time I take a book out to read, the entire set just fall or lean to one side causing me to straighten or pick all books up. If you don’t plan on taking books out and use them for display only then you should be okay. I now regret buying two sets and now looking for heavy ( in weight) book ends. ———— Bought for one of our rooms, being satisfied I came back and ordered a different color. They appear to be sturdy.

These are a beautiful color; well painted, and exactly as pictured. I love the foam on the bottom as well. Very nice quality; I'm back to purchase a second set. They hold up my books (textbooks) easily.

When I started setting up my new office, I decided to "upgrade" a few items. The useless, decorative bookends (that fall over at the slightest provocation) were the first items to go. The replacements needed to be small, with a low-profile design that would allow me to see the materials they were holding up. They also needed to be strong enough to hold up a collection of large, heavy art books. After several weeks of casual browsing in office stores, home decor stores, and on Amazon, I purchased two sets of these bookends. Here are the pros and cons: DESIGN: 5/5 With a simple, flat design, these bookends don't look garish or ridiculous. The curved corners and softened edges mean you're a lot less likely to accidentally scratch yourself when reaching for a book, or to catch your book on a corner and damage it as you're taking it out or putting it back. These bookends do have a set of ridges across the front (you can see them in the product photo), but they're very shallow. STRENGTH: 4/5 They'll definitely hold up your books. Right now, they're holding up a collection of bulky, heavy art reference books. Some of them are hardcover-tall and thin and prone to tipping over easily (one of them has a mirrored finish book cover that scratches easily). Others are wide, floppy paperbacks that tend to bow and deform if they aren't properly stored (think of all of the different paperback "Calvin & Hobbes" collections). The only thing I've noticed is that they do tend to bow just a bit. This problem was quickly solved by bending them inward by a millimeter or two. PRICE: 5/5 Office stores typically charge about $10 for a set of smaller bookends that aren't nearly as strong as these. You know the type - they have an opening in the middle and tend to catch the edges of your books as you slide them in and out. OVERALL: 4/5 I'd recommend them to any of my friends and family members – and I'd definitely buy them again.

Good sturdy bookends, actually a bit larger than I was expecting, which is a good thing. However, the color is less of a green and more of a teal/light blue color which should probably be remedied in the description. Turns out I actually was a fan of the color when I received it, but other people might not be so happy with it.

They work well & look great. Love love the color. There's a nice smooth finish. Color & simple design would make it a good match for country or modern decor. Be aware of the height. If the books are all 11" tall, you.might want something taller, but works great for mine.

I really like these; they match the color scheme in my room. The only thing that bothered me was the non-skid foam on the bottom added a bit of height to items I placed on the shelf. This may seem like a minor thing, but I have another shelf tiered above and it slightly raised the books creating an uneven line. Again, most people would not even notice.

Much taller than wide, therefore tends to fall over easily if a heavy book flops into a newly vacant space, dumping books onto the floor.

I love these bookends. They look nice and work well. No complaints!

Les grands serre-livres achetés précédemment ont été envoyés dans un carton trop grand, mais sont arrivés intacts, ceux-ci ont été envoyés dans une enveloppe en papier, et sont donc arrivés aplatis. J'ai redressé, mais l'équilibre et l'angle ne peuvent pas être récupérés. Dommage. Surtout que j'avais lu que d'autres clients avaient eu la même expérience, et aucun effort n'a été fait pour y remédier. Le produit est satisfaisant, mais bancal maintenant.
