Dj Hero 2 Software - Playstation 3 (Stand Alone)

After I got the first DJ Hero years ago, I knew I'd have to complete my collection when DJ Hero 2 came out. Not only does it have more modernized music (the first had lots of mixes involving older songs), but it includes famous DJ's like Deadmau5, David Guetta and even Tiesto. It has over 80 new mixes to play, and even when you've beaten the games career mode (known as Empire), there are STILL mixes in the quickplay mode that are new and weren't featured in the career mode. If trophies are your thing, about half of them are online related, but I was still able to get most of the offline-related trophies rather easily. If you're a fan of rhythm-based games like the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchise, then this game is probably for you. It's a bit different as you're using the three buttons on the record, a crossfader, and an equalizer, but overall, the tutorials bring you up to speed rather quickly and with true devotion, you can beat almost any song in the game on Expert. The only possible bad thing I can think of is the fact that I haven't seen too many people online. This isn't Call of Duty, so people aren't exactly lining up to battle here, but if you stick around long enough, or try to find a match again after playing another set or two, you can surely find someone that's willing to play against you. This is a great game, and in my opinion, even better than the original. Enjoy!

I would say it's a better game than the first. There are more challenges here and things you can do while mixing that weren't in the first game. I don't like this soundtrack as much as DJ Hero 1 though. It sounds more pop, but it does have the latest songs if that's what you're looking for. One problem I ran into was that this game completely froze my PS3. I just bought my PS3 new a few months ago so I doubt it's the console. I went to quit the game with the turntable controller and my PS3 screen went black and wouldn't load anything else. I couldn't manually shut it down either. I had to pull the power plug. Luckily nothing was erased or corrupted. Not sure if it's a glitch with the game or just a 1 time problem.

Then you will enjoy this second edition even more. I purchased this as the franchise is no longer pushing out any xxxxx HERO titles as of JAN 2011 and did not want to miss adding this to my collection just because of the music. This is the best title yet for music in my opinion and the party mode allows you to enjoy without having to play the game. Perfect for jamming out to club mixes of popular songs.

I was a big fan of the first game but this one is even better. The songs are better, there are way more of them, and they even added a career mode. The online play is a lot of fun, you can level up and unlock tags and stuff like on COD MW2. If you're a fan of Guetta, Deadmau5, and other music similar to them, you'll love the track list. Good party game for sure.

Very good game! Even though the soundtrack for the first game is better than this one, DJ Hero 2 does it again! Love the mode in which you play on clubs and all songs get together at once. Great graphics and I can say this one is the best Activision released for this type of games. Sorry Guitar Hero Warriors of rock but this game would be tons of more fun and better!

I originally bought this after playing through the original DJ Hero on the Playstation 2 in hopes that this would be much better, but I was wrong....Pros:Better graphicsCons:Tries to hard to be "modern" with its featuresLooks like it is trying to graphically copy the Xbox 360 avatar art styleFeels like a cheap knockoff of the originalThe songs feel uninspired and cash grabby

The game is fine but the seller promised to have it here by a certain day, still have not received it. Had to go out and purchase it somewhere else because it was a Christmas present.

Nothing scratched still in plastic, no issues whatsoever. Game is pretty good, only bad thing is that you have to download a lot of music on there which can get a little bit expensive but overall a thumbs up
