ESV Thinline Bible (TruTone, Charcoal, Crown Design)

I love this bible so much. Not just because it's ESV - but it's stylish, rugged, and yet pliable and simple. There are a lot of bibles out there that are either far too flashy, or way too simple; you either know with absolute certainty that it's a bible, or you have no clue at all. The pattern of the Hawthorn Crown is a beautiful choice, as it is a subtle pattern that makes a bold statement with confidence and humility. The materials used have been a friend to me throughout time - the outer case is pliable enough so that you can bend it and fold it gently in your arm without fear of it cracking or warping, but it is sturdy enough to resist some punishment, or act as a coaster without the fear of accruing long term visual damage. It's such a good rendition, that I had to buy a new one for my friend - as I have held mine for nearly 6 years now, and I still love to have it on my nightstand every night. If you're in the market for a Bible, this is probably your best option, especially if you like the color black. It's gender neutral, subtle, and yet bold. I cannot recommend it enough.

This was originally bought for a teenage friend, but his dad loved it so much because of how easy it was to read that we got a smaller one for the teen, and his dad is using this one. It is lightweight, easily readable, and lays flat on the table well if you want to read on a table. I would buy it again.

Well, it's a Bible, so that's good. =) But I love the ESV translation. I like it better than the NIV and NKJV. And I think the English is easier to understand. I've been to small groups and when I read out of it, others say they like my translation (the ESV) a lot and ask what translation it is. And it looks amazing on the outside. It's the perfect size, not too big, not too small, and not heavy. And it has several maps in the back. If you haven't read from an ESV Bible before, check it out, I think you'll like it. Go on Biblegateway or something. This is not meant to be a long review. I'm just excited about it.

Great inexpensive Bible. I love the cover. I get compliments on it all the time. I had a collegiate devotional Bible before and thought it was past my life now (I'm 30, married, with 2 kids) and I just wanted a no frills Bible. Jesus's words are in red, a small ribbon bookmark, light weight, presentation page, and The Word. That's all. Perfect. Not too small of text either.

The first Bible that I purchased when I started attending church was a new international version that is a study Bible. I really like my study Bible but it is very heavy to carry around because of all the extra text. I decided to purchase a thin line Bible so that I would be able to carry it around without the extra weight if I wanted or needed to. I wanted to buy a different version of the Bible so I wouldn't have two of the same. I am so happy that I purchased the English standard version. It is fairly easy to understand without additional notes because it is written in plain English. I feel that with any Bible the text will need to be analyzed when reading, but this ESV makes it so much easier to understand and I would highly recommend this version to anyone looking for an easy to understand (and inexpensive) bible. I really enjoy it and the cover is very nice quality.

Efficiently thin but print is NOT so small that you can't wear your readers and see clearly. I also got the pkg of Bible tabs, which makes it super easy to quickly locate each book of the Bible. This Bible is also beautiful in appearance, especially with the raised crown of thorns on the cover. You can't go wrong with this one!

My bestfriend always wanted his own bible but was very particular about the size, design and version. I took the liberty to buy this as a belated Christmas gift so he can start reading and he was delighted! The crown of thorns is a stunner! What a great reminder to set our minds to the things above!

Brought this to revitalise my spirituality and connection with faith. Beautiful cover, it is black. Pages are thin as you would expect. ESV is, in my opinion, easiest and closest to original. My faith now is growing daily.

I'm really happy with my Bible. Beautiful cover! So happy to get it! I read the reviews and saw lots of complaints about the small print but I'm fine with the print, not an issue for me at all.
