I knew it was display, I bought it for display, it’s exactly what we wanted. That being said, solid piece! Super quality and manufacturing. Scabbard locks up tight with the hilt latch and hilt button is smooth but meant to be deployed. I shook it around pretty good and it did not come undone. Rattle is near non existent. Hefty weight on this thing. Display dull but amazing point put on. Would be a fun sharpening project or practice.

Exactly as pictured & described but the mechanism the secures the blade to the case is broken so the sword will not stay covered

I own the sister katana sword ' however I bought it 15 years ago. On my original the handle and pommel are a solid piece of machined aluminum the scabbard is aluminum as well. When I received this , what I can only describe as a very very cheap knock off, would not even hold the scabbard. There is a button hidden on the handle you press to release the sword. I discovered the top of the scabbard was entirely plastic and had been broken

First, the entire UC Samurai 3000 3-blade set ( the United Cutlery Samurai 3000 Katana, Samurai 3000 Tanto, and Samurai Ninja 3000) of swords were NEVER intended to actually be used for anything other than collectors displays. So if you are looking for a cool training sword or actual cutting blade, you will need to buy something meant for those activities. This is a link to the display shadowbox I made for my set of swords: [...] From a collectors perspective, the swords all have a futuristic design and are well constructed. I added them to my collection and often become a conversation item during parties. Unfortunately, it's getting harder to find these and to collect the entire set may be a challenge due to lack of availability.

Very cool design, interesting concept. The only two complaints I have are that 1: the tip of the blade on my sword was a bit skewed to one side, and 2: I actually ended up accidentally pulling off the pommel trying to unsheathe it because there was no mention of the latch used to hold the blade in the scabbard.

It's not a sword it's just metal. No edge, and absolutely non functional. I actually hate it. I would feel like theft had occurred if I couldn't send it back, which I am, bright and early tomorrow.
