Save your back!
For years I've used a sling to carry my larger cameras and lenses. In recent years, I've been developing a pain between my shoulder blades and a significant knot after carrying a camera for an hour or so. Figured it might be due to the asymmetric loading, especially with the sling always over my left shoulder. Got the Cotton Carrier before a recent trip out west where we'd be doing some hiking. This thing is a blessing! It's a little awkward at first, but you quickly become used to it. When we were going through Antelope Canyon, it was really useful to not have a camera lens swinging free on a sling as you maneuver through some of the tighter spaces or climb some of the steps. It keeps both hands free and the camera and lens are secured to your body. Only downside is the connector you screw into the tripod socket. It's incompatible with a plate, so you'll have to remove it if you're going to use a tripod, then reinstall it. Wasn't an issue for me, but it might be for others. I love it. No pain after carrying the camera for hours. (OM Digital Systems OM-1 with the 12-100mm/f4 zoom, or the 8mm/f1.8 fisheye.)

This thing is awesome
This thing is great for carrying my camera and my binoculars when hiking or birding. It is very comfortable, secure, and easy to use. It is easy and quick access for both my camera and binoculars. The setup is secure to prevent drops. I get lots of looks when I am wearing it. Some people ask about it and say it looks like it would be great to have. Some have even said it looks like a tactical vest. I think that is true, and that is not bad. If I would make any improvements it would be 1. to make it a little more vented because it seems to add 10 degrees to any situation when I have it on. The other is the connection to my binoculars. The strap attached to the binocular is too short and/or it slides too easily. I had to keep pulling on it to keep it from falling off. I think I will look for a different way to attach it so I don't have to keep fiddling with it.

Great product and Excellent Customer Service
I was so excited to try this vest for my new camera and binoculars. I was tired of having them sway about as I was walking. I feel like both are very safe and secure (unless I fall on my face) while hiking. I can quickly grab both items without getting tangled. When I received the vest it was missing the binocular strap. When I emails Sam he immediately found the extra piece that was missing, had it shipped the next day and from first contact to having the piece in hand was 4 days! Very friendly and helpful. Great product and great company! Ladies, I am a small chested woman and it fits me, I just have to pull all the straps tight, but there is a little room still. I feel like this could fit a lot of sizes. Not sure about bigger chested women.

Great Investment
I love this vest. I used it while birding this spring, and it was so much more pleasurable carrying my camera and binos. It is very comfortable and I was wondering if cotton carrier had a way to attach a third item. Like maybe a way to attach a scope an light weight tripod on the other side, or back. Any way, I would highly recommend this for anyone needing a way to carry camera and binos at the same time, that is comfortable and easier on your neck and back.

Does the job, but does it need to?
This definitely does a great job distributing the weight and securing your camera out of the way (even with big, long lenses), and the extra binoculars holder is pretty cool. Unfortunately, rotating the camera 90 degrees, lifting it out of the slot, and getting it to your eyes takes WAY too long for me, a birder. I can see how this would be useful hiking and only using the camera for landscapes, but that is the only application that merits its use, I think.

Awesome
I love this thing. Fully loaded with a camera with telephoto lens and binoculars, it is very comfortable and sturdy. The pocket for cell phone is a little tight for my larger iPhone, but that’s the smallest of gripes.
