Perfect for attaching rubber to leather soles
Fast setting, solid hold and it arrived prior to the expected date. Was able to attach rubber soles (not included) to the leather soles of my favorite pair of cowboy boots that were starting to wear. Rubber soles is the way to go here in Oregon! Never could wear expensive boots year around. Even just going from the truck to the house leather sucks up water like a sponge. Now, I can wear my boots throughout the winter without a worry of the leather breaking down due to the wet/drying cycle causing cracking. I'll still wear more appropriate footwear when outside for lengthy periods in the winter, but when just running around town or what not, I can wear my favorite boots again! Probably will re-purchase and do the same to other boots, too. Word of caution: Applying to new shoes should be a breeze, however when dealing with an old pair of boots whose soles are already, "Curled" it's gonna be some work. Clamps help, but constant vigilance is still required for about an hour or two. The clamps can't take care of every square inch, so I ended up un-clamping after the glue started setting good (but was still tacky) and manually would go over every part to insure proper adhesion.

Used the clear for 15 years or more and it works great. Greatly extends the life of the shoe. I put it on new shoes.
I have used this product for over 15 years. One tip. After the application allow the product about two days to harden. If you walk on it too soon it squishes down and does not last at all. If you wait and it hardens it lasts a long time. I have always used the clear, and purchased it locally. This is my first time using the black. I put this stuff on new shoes and it greatly extends the life of the sole. Make sure you use some kind of solvent to clean the sole thoroughly before you apply it. If you do, it is really, really hard to remove it, thus it does not separate and come off. When it gets too thin I replace it and that is when I notice how hard it sticks to the sole. UPDATE. If the heel is worn, you can put the goo on thicker, you just might have to wait for several days for it to get hard. Do not wear the shoe if the goo is soft at all. It will get rock hard. If you walk on it when it is sill soft the goo will flatten out. I have also used it for the first time as a glue. I have a pair of hiking off trail shoes that the sole started to separate. I cleaned the surfaces then put the goo between the two layers and used C clamps to hold the sides together. I gooed the heels and in a few days will be ready to wear the shoes for another year or so.

Worked GREAT to add more life to soles of my Bogs!
I used this great product to build up the sole on my rubber Bogs shoes that were getting very thin, almost breaking through on a spot in the middle of the sole under ball of foot. I was worried from reading some reviews here that this product might only be good for gluing and patching non-shoe sole related issues, but it worked perfectly to add many more miles of "tread" on the bottom of my shoes! While I'm not sure if it just adheres better to an all rubber shoe, I can tell you there was no "peeling away" problems like some of the reviews I've read from those who applied product to their worn soles. I applied the product in 2/3 coats using a small spatula scraper, about 1/16th of an inch at a time, leaving it a bit thicker at thinnest spots on shoe fore sole. Let each coat dry overnight, then reapplied. Let the last coat dry about 24 hours then put on the shoes and did my usual walk heavy commute. The product looks like a new sole (minus of course the grooves)! Perfectly adheres and blends in with my black shoe sole now that its worn past the shiny finish it dried with. Depending on what type of shoe you're looking to get some more life out of, this product is fantastic! Sure beats paying $75 for another paid of my favorite wet weather work shoes!

Do not choose clear version for darker shoes, FYI
I'm writing this review more to give people a head's up about the color choices - clear vs black - in case you're on the fence. Do not choose clear for darker shoes. Clear actually dries more white than clear, and on black shoes this stands out. Also, over time this white turns yellow, which also stands out and looks even worse. So if you're gluing darker shoes, do not think that the clear is actually clear and will not be visible. It will be and it will not look good. Hope this helps someone. Other than that, this is the best stuff I know for repairing shoes and making them last longer. I put heels on my dress shoes to make them last and this stuff does the trick. Note, however, that ShoeGoo works best on softer rubber/plastic. Harder "step" type heel taps are harder to glue down with ShoeGoo. It will still work, it will just not work as well. Soft rubber heels will stick until they're literally worn away. Hard plastic heels will eventually come off, after a couple of months. Make sure to score/rough up either type of heel, though, on the gluing side before gluing them to your shoes, especially the hard plastic type - makes the bond stronger.

Great product! Been using it for decades!!!
So being a former skater kid... Shoe Goo was there for me and my parents when I would trash a new pair of skate shoes within 2 months and I would get creative on reconstructing my kicks and making them last longer than any other shoe being rubbed against heavy duty sandpaper (grip tape) on a daily! Now flash forward 20 years and I now have a 6 year old son, who wears out his kicks within the same period time by just normal play on the playground. My mom had bought him a nice pair of Kevin Durant's Nikes that torn within a week at the toe since the material was mesh. I thought about a ways to fix them and I remember about my skater days and Shoe Goo... Sure enough with some painters tape I was able to make some rubber toe caps on his shoes and they lasted for months until he grew out of them. Shoe Goo can help adhese the soles of your shoes if they are falling off to building a protective barrier against unusual wear and tear due to rubbing. I recommend it and if you are going to spread it, make sure to have a plastic disposable butter knife or popsicle stick to even it out!

I used this to fix a crack I developed in a pair of black curling shoes. The product goes on really well but skins over somewhat fast, so if you need to smooth it and tool it, do it quickly. The end result was surprisingly flexible and durable, to a point. I had to redo the application 2 more times throughout the season as eventually it would peel off the shoe, but it comes off cleanly making it easy to reapply. This was a way cheaper solution than a new pair of shoes!

Used to fix a hole in my tunnel cover. Worked great, flexible and water proof. Been 6 months in the sun and rain. Now for winter.

What I Like - A strong adhesive that works well at putting the rubber back together with the fabric of a shoe. It’s a little on the costly side, but it does work and it’s useful for several different styles of shoes. What I Don’t Like - A little messy, and also once the tube is open, it’s usually quite hard to get the lid back on as it tends to adhere to the tube.

J'adore! J'avais des doutes mais cette colle à bottes (dans mon cas) m'a permis de réparer 4 paires de bottes usagées. Une fois sèche, ça adhère très bien et ça devient assez dur.
