Purchased this as a gift for a dirty thirty martini party and it was an absolute hit. Very sturdy weight and good quality, easy to use, a normal size so you can easily store in a cabinet. No leakage, an easy product to clean and the cutest design ever. Recommend

Re: HIC Penguin Cocktail Shaker, 18/8 Stainless Steel, 18-ounce Just got this thing in the mail & already used it to make 3 iced coffees from my Nespresso Evoluo Vertuo machine. FINALLY something that not only works, doesn't leak, won't CRACK when I shake it or explode when hot coffee is poured over the ice, made of 18/8 stainless steel (like silverware so won't rust), perfect size, and makes me so happy when I look at how cute it is! You don't need a Nespresso machine, you could just use regular coffee. I pre-make coffee ice cubes & use 3 to 4 big ones (just barely sticking up out of the bottom half of the penguin), add some creamer, then it perfectly fits under the machine's spout. I squeeze 2 or 3 rounds off the same pod (trust me it is still STRONG), add the top pieces back on, SHAKE really hard (NO LEAKS!), take the top pieces back off and just drink from the bottom half cup. It would make a seriously great gift (who wouldn't smile when they see this) and not just cocktails can be made with it. Impressive quality was a surprise since that seems to be lacking here lately. Excellent find! :)

Shaker not only looks great it works great! Perfect size and does not leak. Love how it looks on the bar. Definitely worth it.

Fantastic for one year. We used it a couple of times per week, washing it out each time. But after a year, the outside printing, including the measuring part of it, started coming off. I would wash and notice a black residue in the strainer. This product will not last for very long as it's intended purpose, but...you do get the glass and the metal Shaker part indefinitely. It's up to you, but the important part for me lasted one year.

This is great for anybody who loves penguins or has a quirky bar. It's even better because it functions properly.

Have used it for 2 months. Handwashed All markings have washed off the glass.

What's not to like about a nice shiny penguin that looks great, shakes and dispenses tempting cocktails? Excellent product which has been well made (for the price). It has now been used extensively and there are no signs of wear, tarnishing, etc.

A very nice shaker, possibly for special occasions, or when surrounded by classy people; I doubt morons would appreciate it. It is classy, elegant and does stand out, everyone loves the penguin and the drinks that come out of it. I ordered this between x-mas and new year's for new year's and got it on new year's eve, right on time, way to go Amazon!! The only problem is the separations, which tend to leave messy areas when making drinks, hands can get sticky and can be awkward to separate after one too many. Its shell also gets very cold when packed with ice, so a word to the wise, use a towel when shaking, I used a dish drying towel or a shower towel; the latter is better but I will get one for it. Not an every day or a marathon drink making tool but it won the New Year's / company party. Make sure you close it firmly before shaking, it can leak if not held down hard enough. That said, I recommend it as a backup, a spare when one drink mixer ain't enough or even to make those more complex drinks. I don't recommend it if you have problems with your hands because it can be tricky to handle. I will use it again but will likely but a shaker made more for production.

A bit pricy at $30, but it works like a charm for preparing (shaking and straining) ice-cold cocktails. Cools instantaneously with a few shakes are some ice. The hand does get cold!
