Strong taste and smell. Seems like good quality. Way better than the powdered black pepper you get in the little tins. No anti-caking crap. You can smell the difference. After you touch this pepper, unlike the pre-ground stuff, don't touch your face. This still has pepper oils in it.

This is a good quality general black pepper. I use a lot of it and got tired of constantly running out, as I was buying small tins. I am happy that I can purchase a quality item online that I use a lot and will not be running out of it. This is a big bottle and last a while. I like the texture, it is not too small nor too large, good flakes size. Works well for general cooking and for putting on top of the dishes. The small tins i was buying at the store have very fine powder consistency, which is too fine. I like this size of the flakes much better in this bottle. Good smell and taste. It smell and taste fresh, flavorful, not as other small powdered brands. Some people believe that pepper has to be ground fresh right before you eat it. But this pepper does not lose it smell. I have been using this bottle for a few months now and it still smells fresh. It is easily coming out of the container. I use it also to make my 'golden paste' - black pepper and turmeric mixture as pepper enhances absorption of turmeric. Very cost effective as well. if you are looking for a good quality general use black pepper I would recommend you to try Badia.
