TIVIT Ironing Board Cover 12 x 42” – Made in Italy, Alumitek PRO Heat-Reflective, Thick 4-Layer Padding, Scorch & Stain Resistant

I've been sewing/ironing for many decades but have never owned an ironing board cover of this caliber before. I've always just bought what I could find locally, which are always too thin and too skinny to cover the full width of an ironing board (and can never be tightened properly). I was excited to find this company while searching for something else on Amazon, and knew from previous experience with other products made in Italy that I could rely on these covers to be far superior to anything else I've had. I was not wrong in my assessment, so I have already ordered another size to fit a travel counter-top board I use occasionally. Being able to get a precise fit to whatever board size you use is stellar! I got the 18" x 59" and once it is in place and properly fastened, it is completely smooth. The padding is superior and should not leave iron board marks on my fabrics anymore. Having 3 sets of velcro closures for adjusting the width is great, although I do wish the loopy velcro piece was covered with a removable film while adjusting the cover ... they all got stuck on the fleecy lining and pulled off some fuzz, so I had to remove it as best as I could before fastening under the board. Not a big deal, but a bit stressful when trying to avoid it. The best feature of all is the thick corded elastic band with good quality toggle to pull it tight. There was plenty of length to work with, and it's easy to tuck away the excess inside the nose of the cover. Such generous side coverages. I am so delighted with this new cover and can't wait to start my next sewing project ... ironing is chore enough, but when you have a crappy board cover, the job is that much more frustrating. I highly recommend these! If they offered double sleeve board covers, I would have bought those, too. I ended up finding similar cloth by-the-yard to make my own, since the former padding on my sleeve board is still usable.

Really great ironing board cover for an 18.5 X 49 size which isn't the easiest to find. It has the right amount of cushioning, Velcro straps for securing and cording in hem for a tight fit. Am pleased to say its holding up great with lots of use.

It fits, but it’s much bigger than 42 inches in length making it a little harder to fit.

My second-hand Rowenta ironing board’s original cover finally bit the dust. I was extremely happy that I was able to find the right sized cover for her. I iron clothes that need it, but I’m an avid sewist. I learned that Rowenta no longer supports their over-sized boards with covers. Regular covers do not fit. I put this one on right over the old one, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s surface is now new, clean, tight, and cushy. No odor. I got the silver-grey colored one.

Fits great and nicely padded. Just what I was looking for.

I have an in-wall 12x36” ironing board that is 30 years old. Over the years I have had trouble finding a cover that fit properly and was the quality I was looking for. I saw this on-line and decided to try it. It arrived very quickly and was everything I had hoped for. Because the cover was 12x42 I knew I might have trouble getting it to fit properly. Due to my board size, I wanted the additional length at the bottom of the board. So I reversed the installation instructions and started at the top of the board rather than the bottom. The only issue, and it was easy to address, was the top fastener strap was hidden under the cover. You can see from the picture I simply used a safety pin to snug up the fit. The additional length was tucked under the bottom of the board. The board was then bolted back onto its base which held everything snuggly in place. I ironed the top of the cover as per instructions and every wrinkle in the cover smoothed right out. The cover is thick, easy to iron on (so smooth even my delicate items slide right across the cover) and looks very durable. I expect it to last a long time.

It fit our oval-shaped board really well but I found the padding built into the cover a little thin.

My board is 14 x 46 and it was way longer then my board. It says fit all kind of front shape but mine is larger and it was pretty tight just on the front side. As for the rest it was to loose. It is not a tight fitting. I bought another one a bit bigger and it fit better then this one. I returned this one. Beware they share restocking fee. Its not worth to return after postage. The customer service was nice but you need to be patient as it take time to get an approval to return the product. The product also smell chemical and it says to not wash. I did not want to iron my baby clothes on it. For me it dint do it. The color is also very dark not plaisant to look.
