I saw a clip where Paul McCartney was talking about his early years and how he and John would smoke Typhoo tea...of course nothing happened...but they were young and not able to buy weed. The story was just interesting enough for me to see if Typhoo was still around, and they sure are. Typhoo is a great everyday breakfast tea. It's not woody at all, and there is a hint of sweetness...just a hint...just right. easily drinkable on its own. It's packaging is the best. 40 ROUND tea bags with NO strings make this a brewers dream. Each 40 bags are encapsulated by an airtight thin foil package...so long term storage should not be an issue. I always keep two large boxes (almost 1000 bags) of Typhoo in my pantry as emergency backup. The price is right...the taste is very good...and storing it long term is easy. But don't smoke it...

My son and I gave up drinking soda because we were concerned about the amount of plastic going into our recycle bin and the amount of money going out of my pocket. I decided to try iced tea. We've tried other teas that just seemed to lack flavor so I searched for strong tea and this came up. It is stronger but that's not what has won us over. The flavor is excellent. It brewed up very dark in color -it looked more like strong coffee. We were a bit hesitant to taste it but finally we did and WOW. This is the best tea I have ever tasted and my son thinks is excellent also. We have found our tea.

Serious tea for serious people who don't want to mess around with weak ass tea. Goes well with a touch of lemon too. Cheers!

For some reason, I always thought that Typhoo tea was Asian. But an elderly British gentleman set me straight. Once I gave it a try, I never went back, as all the others seemed ordinary. Typhoo is a British tea that has excellent flavor. It's strong, but still smooth. I prefer it with a squirt of lemon juice, but it's excellent black, and my tea group friends add a splash of milk. I carry some with me when I travel, since the other black teas cannot compare. (Note: it is round and doesn't come with a string and tag, so you have to fish the bag out with a spoon or your fingers.)

Best tea around, and each bag will make at least 4 cups

My favorite tea. But, this delivery, the boxes have changed and the bags are not round and not in foil packs by 40 bags. I have 240 bags in cardboard. Not happy
