BG Electrical Circuit Protection Shower Kit, IP65 Rated Metal Enclosure

Bought to go on a cabin in the garden. It’s a very solid and well made item. You have to drill out the holes for cables - the case is metal remember! The fuses that came in the item were far too high rated for domestic use - easily replaced and space inside for easy wiring and installation of more fuses if needed. Box has rubber gaskets everywhere to keep out the rain however the opening lid needs careful closing to ensure the metal clasp catches correctly - when done carefully it forms perfect weathertight seal. Recent storms with torrential driving rain did not result in any water ingress. Very happy with this. Recommended highly.

You only want the best when involved in electrics and these are top notch in quality and safety. I will use these every time.

Purchased this to add a shower and other items to a bathroom so needed the RCCD, 50A trip, and a couple more circuits. It's not in the bathroom of course but is in an area where pipes traverse so in the event of an accident the IP65 rating would be useful. I used the cable entries in the base and sides only to help with keeping the protection. The moulded cable knockouts worked fine but you do need a grommet able to sit in 2mm material for the 20mm size, or cable glands could be used. Quality terminal screws, no issues with slippage when tightening.
