Libman917 Lobby Broom and Dust Pan (Closed Lid)

I normally think of Amazon as a place where it is easy to find what you want for a price that is close to being as cheap as you can find the product anywhere. Amazon has always stood behind the products they sell, at least in my experience with them. However, I gave around $30.00 for each of the Libman dust pans, (the broom is too short to be usable for much, but I knew that before I ordered. I also knew that the dustpan was great for sweeping up saw-dust etc. and not spilling anything when you pick it up, since I had used them at work). The guy who ordered them was gone the day I decided to purchase a couple for use in my home and shop, so I trusted Amazon and just ordered from them. Anyway, when the guy who orders stuff for the place that I work came back, he told me that he only gave $11.95 for the Libman Dust pans at Sam's Club. Just to double check before speaking out, I had my wife purchase two at Sam's Club and they were exactly $11.95 each. That is well less then half the price that Amazon had them for and it really makes me less likely to purchase anything from Amazon.com without doing a lot more checking around on prices. Great Product, just buy it at Sam's Club.I wanted to add that the short broom that comes with the dust pan is NOT for sweeping entire rooms, it is to sweep the piles into the dustpan and it is short so that you can hold the broom with one hand and the dustpan with the other. To sweep a large area into piles you would use a broom with a longer handle and sized according to the room. My wife informed me of this fact and as usual, she was right.One more point, I read the review from the lady that was sweeping up cat litter and she said that hers broke shortly after she got it. I use these sweeping up in a woodworking shop, a children's museum, the mess that the brick mason's left after building me a tornado shelter which were pieces of cement block and lots of dropped mortar (very heavy stuff, much heavier then cat poop), and at home. I have used them since about the year 2000 and have never had one break or quit working in ANY way. I bet if she would have contacted Amazon or Libman, she would have received a replacement.

I bought this as a quick sweeper around the cat litter box. I'm happy with its durability andease of use and storage. It does a good job overall. Like another reviewer said, these used to have a rubber gasket on the bottom lip so it sealed more to the floor when you swept into it. This help to keep there from being gaps that you'd sweep small particles under it. I saw that review uppfront and bought it anyway because I've been happy with the performance of this brand in all other areas. However, after using it a while now, I have to strongly agree with the other reviewer... the rubber gasket was a very important feature and the product is not as good without it. I'm not unhappy with the product as it is, but next time I have to buy, I will definitely have the rubber gasket as a requirement as it really does make it much easier and much more convenient.

Arrived wrapped very well in plastic (not in a box). I use it to sweep mostly cat litter on a basement floor. Very sturdy and I love the red color. I like how I can just set the dustpan in one spot and it is heavy and sturdy enough to sweep the debris right into it without even holding onto the dust pan. Then when I pick it up to store it, all the debris stays inside until I'm ready to empty it. My only complaint is that the broom is short, but I guess it was not made to sweep a whole room, only sweep piles into the dustpan, then fit onto the dustpan in one unit for storage. Other than the shortness of the broom handle, this is a quality and sturdy set and works great for the cleaning job. Libman is always a reliable product for me.

This is just crazy to literally sell this product with a giant product "sticker" across it. It's actually painted into the plastic instead of a general product stamp or removable sticker. I mean barcode and all, that's just unclean looking. It's just annoying since it's one of the only plain colored brooms. I bought this plain color because it matched my business theme and this hangs on the wall.This broom is short. I can only semi-comfortably hold it at the top of the handle without bending over and I'm 5'7.The broom bristles are semi-weak/ bouncy. I'd say it does the job though.I totally love the brush off feature it does work.SO, faux sticker and height of the broom handle are a BAD move on the manufacturer's part.

Lite pickup debris

I love the short handles on this product. I am 4 foot 9 and 3/4 inches so the longer handles are awkward for me to use. Also, I have a bad back so the longer handle on the dust pan keeps me from having to bend over too much. It is easy to empty the dirt receptacle and the two pieces snap together and is easy to hang on a hook right beside my back door. I am just sorry that I didn't have this a long time ago. It makes clean up so much easier for me.

I ordered two and they both just arrived. They are heavier than I thought they would be and I agree the handles are very short. However, they seem to be good quality. NOTE: EACH of these relatively small dust pan/brooms came separately in a HUGE 30"x 50" x 10" Sam's Club box (big enough that the delivery person thought i ordered the boxes so I could return a large screen TV. Now I have to spend time breaking down the boxes for the recycle bin. Absolutely ridiculous.

We keep this item in our laundry room where we have 2 litter boxes. Does a fantastic job. And, it’s made in the USA 🇺🇸.
