Fengda AS-186A Professional Airbrush Compressor/with Tank/Autostop 4Bar/Autostart 3Bar/Quiet/Oil-Free

Brilliant nice and compact and quiet. Seen reviews saying it was noisy with the cover on but I find that’s not the case in my opinion

It has to be quiet as I live in a one bedroom flat are use this for airbrushing and also for blowing dust out of small components it is really really quiet and I keep it under the bench but with plenty of airflow around it , it cuts out when the tank is full , I have been using this for a long time now and so far I’ve been well impressed with it , it came well packaged and as described by the seller also it is easy to maintain with only the need to drain any moisture from the air tank I have added a small pressure regulator at the side of the bench so I can plug the airline into it without having to go under the bench to do this

For the price, this is not a bad unit at all. It appears under different brands but ultimately is made by Airgoo. It has everything you would need for a budget price. I bought the model with the steel enclosure which, although looking pretty, is entirely impractical. You cannot easily access the pressure release valve. I like to release the pressure in the tank once I have finished using it and it is almost impossible to access with the metal casing in the way. It is also impossible to access the moisture screw on the bottom of the tank should you need to. In short, this is a good compressor but if you want one, get the one without the metal shield, it will be slightly cheaper and infinitely more practical.

Really pleased with this. The casing to be honest is unnecessary as mine lives under my workbench (but it does look nice). Consistent pressure is a big plus. I've accidentally left it switched on overnight and the pressure in the tank doesn't drop, nor does the motor cut in to top it up. I previously had a model without an air tank reserve and had inconsistent results but the AS-186A does the job perfectly, particularly with the ability to regulate pressure to suit your application. I use Harder & Steenbeck air brushes and the set up works really well. Recommended for those looking to go to the next stage.

I went from a small electric compressor combo to this and straight away I noticed my air was WAY more powerful and WAY more consistent! The compressor fills the tank with air and then switches off until it needs to refill more air so in terms of noise it’s smart. In terms of volume when running it sounds like a dishwasher, not loud enough to be annoying but definitely there! Buy it if you are on the fence!

So far so good. Comes up to pressure quickly, kicks in to top up as and when needed. Operation has been quieter than expected, so a pleasant surprise. Holds pressure very well, I can go days between use, and it is still at full pressure so doesn’t even need to top up. The compressor gets very hot, so the case was definitely a good choice over the slightly cheaper version without it.

Heavier than i expected, but a great compressor for a beginner, simple and good value.

Uk plug..very quiet…long running time with no overheating..great value for money on par with my sparmax that it’s replacing I’m very pleased with it good for beginners to experienced airbrush users I use mine for plastic kits I’d recommend it..my one gripe is the pressure valve is hard to see but once set it’s fine but it could do with being angled slightly for better line of sight

Recensione dettagliata – Compressore Fengda FD-186A per aerografo (3L serbatoio, oil-free, silenzioso, 4 Bar autostop) Uso questo compressore Fengda FD-186A da alcune settimane per modellismo statico e personalizzazione di miniature, e ne sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto. Silenzioso, compatto e ben progettato, è perfetto per ambienti domestici o per chi lavora in appartamento. Aspettative vs realtà: Mi aspettavo un compressore rumoroso o instabile come spesso accade con modelli economici, ma è davvero silenzioso, e mantiene pressione costante grazie al serbatoio da 3L. Il sistema di autostop a 4 Bar e riavvio a 3 Bar funziona perfettamente e ottimizza il consumo di energia e la durata del motore. Pro: Oil-free, quindi non richiede manutenzione costante né lubrificazione. Design compatto con maniglia per il trasporto, facile da spostare. Il filtro anti-condensa integrato è molto utile per evitare problemi di umidità nell’aerografo. Compatibile con la maggior parte degli aerografi con attacco standard da 1/8". Contro: Il tubo non è incluso, va acquistato a parte (attenzione per chi è alle prime armi). Il regolatore è preciso, ma richiede un minimo di pratica per settare al meglio la pressione. Confronto con altri compressori: Rispetto ad altri modelli base senza serbatoio, questo è un salto di qualità: niente cali di pressione improvvisi, maggiore precisione nelle linee e meno surriscaldamento. Inoltre, rispetto a compressori professionali più ingombranti, è molto più pratico e silenzioso. Conclusione: Il Fengda FD-186A è un compressore affidabile, silenzioso e adatto a molte applicazioni: aerografia per modellismo, decorazioni, nail art, tatuaggi temporanei o anche piccole riparazioni. Un acquisto perfetto per hobbisti esigenti e semi-professionisti. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è eccellente, e una volta provato, diventa uno strumento indispensabile nella postazione di lavoro.

Gran precio para un buen producto. Bastante silencioso y de tamaño compacto. El depósito de aire se me antoja un poco pequeño pero más grande sería menos manejable. La carcasa lo hace más estético.

So overall i'm very pleased with this but i do have some issues. First of all the metal carry case its mounted in makes it extremely loud when in use, i ended up removing it which is super easy as it's connected by just a handful of screws and the noise levels dropped significantly! It also gets extremely warm when using it for 45+ mins, warm enough that i feel uncomfortable using it after about 1,5 hours straight, it gets so hot that you cant really touch certain parts of it without potentially hurting yourself. So if you tend to use this for shorter sessions (less than 2 hours) then i think this is a great buy for the price, just remove the metal case if you think it's too loud.
