So much greatness with one big issue
Bought for a 2 yr and 10 month old. So almost 3. She may be a bit small, 27lbs but 36" so maybe thinish. But I don't think that affects her head size much!!! Her head looks pretty normal to me! LOL! Anyway, glasses are great in that there is the strap for younger toddlers, they are all one piece, so no pinches and arms won't get snapped off! Thick enough and sturdy. But 2 issues: 1) she can't put them on herself like all her plastic ones because the arms are covered totally in rubber (which is great for comfort and not slipping but) and the rubber pulls her hair with it. So one they get stuck in her hair and two it pulls her hair and that hurts so she won't do it herself. (She does not like her hair pulled back and the sides aren't long enough to reach to a pony tail anyway...). Two and it could be her hair assisting in this but they actually get loose and fall off. Then after a few uses I noticed that the arms were wider then the width of her head all of a sudden. Now she did bend the arms outward momentarily but only for a spilt second and I grabbed them and told her not to do that. And then they were to wide. I thought being that they are made for 2-4 yr olds this type of wear would be obvious to the manufacture and if this happened they would not be forever stretched out but it seems they are.

Durable, foolproof shades for little ones - very happy parents!
We purchased these sunglasses for our two-year old daughter prior to a beach vacation. I had seen children's sunglasses before but had not focused on them much as I didn't think that she could keep them on last summer at ~18 months, so she wore a wide brim hat. At that time I bought a pair of very inexpensive sunglasses that fit with adjustable elasticized straps; these were ok for minimal use but slipped and later on the (inexpensive) lenses popped out!Based on this experience, I wanted to avoid any lense pop-outs, and also find shades that our child could put on -- and that would stay on -- with minimal parental intervention (no straps for me to adjust, etc.). The Julbo sunglasses are "dummy proof" - there is no up/down, so your child can put them on and they'll be the "right way" no matter what. The glasses have no hinges and basically wrap around the wearer's head (but not in an uncomfortable way - we'd hear about it otherwise). These sunglasses are also quite durable: they flex quite a bit (my daughter has made them almost flat a few times, ugh), they withstand frequent dropping, and then mirror lenses do not pop out and do not scratch. Our daughter LOVES these glasses. She has worn them nearly daily now since our vacation in early March. When we first got them in the dreary dead of winter, she seemed to wonder why she needed them, but quickly became a fan in the sun on vacation. Now that we're home, a month and half later she still asks for them each time we out if she can't find them. She's quick to tell us if something isn't right (too hot, itchy, etc.) and we have never received any complaints about these glasses. We receive positive comments on the glasses from strangers almost each time we go out - people seem to like the "look."I thought the strap would be a good thing, but we don't actually use it. This could be due to my daughter's hair (frequently in two pony tails). We don't really need the strap, come to find out.Pros: VERY durable, child can put on by him/her self, glasses stay on, lots of colors (we got the brown/blue combo, which may not sound girly, but looks good with brown hair)Cons: Couldn't find these in a store to try on so took a leap of faith and bought on Amazon (would never do this for my own sunglasses!)Neutral: Price seemed high at time of purchase (and frankly I was worried that I would regret my purchase) but given the use and abuse they have received (near daily wear), and durability, I think the price is worth it as we would have replaced regular hinged glasses several times by now or would have been fussing with the Velcro adjustable-strap kind.We will look at Julbo children's glasses when our daughter outgrows her current pair. Would definitely recommend to parents who want their toddlers to wear sunglasses and who want the child to "own" the wearing experience.

Nice while we had them...about a week :(
My son just turned 2 and he had a pair of sunglasses with a strap that he HATED and refused to wear so since we live in NM where it feels like we are on the surface of the sun I thought these might be better. i was wrong. My son wouldn't wear them at all with the strap and with the stap off he wore them exactly twice before he lost them. i just finished a 3 mile walk retracing our steps trying to figure out where he tossed them out of his stroller with no luck. Basically threw $20 out the window. I'm really disappointed because with all the positive reviews I had a lot of hope for this pair. Not sure if I'll bother investing in another pair or not. The first time he wore them out he seemed to like them and they didn't leave any marks on his face or anything but he chewed on the ear piece when he took them off and it cut his lip a little bit. All in all not too happy.

nice quality but small and tight
My baby is 12 months old. She is in the 99th percentile, so admittedly big for her age. These glasses, which are meant for 2-4 year old toddlers, were tight on her, with the band fully extended. The quality seems very good, but there was no way we could keep them given the size issue.

great glasses- one minor problem
I love these sun glasses for my 2.5 year old son. He is so happy to have glasses that he can take off and put on at will and he wears them happily. There is only one minor problem. The straight sides which make independent donning of the glasses for my son so easy also make wearing a hat difficult. We require glasses and a hat at all times outside, so we compensated by using a slightly larger bucket hat. I will be looking for a second pair of glasses for the summer with looped ears and hope it helps. I really do like the glasses though.

Runs very small
Our daughter has a perfectly average-sized head, and she just turned three. These will not make it through this summer let alone until she is four. We like this brand--second pair of these we owned for our little one--and the infant version fit true to size for us, but the sizing is off on these.

Durable, comfortable, and easy to put on
Our daughter is two and screamed about the sun in her eyes when we were in the car. These glasses are great -- she can put them on herself. And they're incredibly durable. She often sits in her carseat with one side of the glasses in one hand and uses her foot to press against the other side and stretch them as far as they can go (sadly, not kidding). I'm shocked they show absolutely no signs of wear and tear after this type of treatment. We couldn't be happier with our purchase. In terms of sizing, I was a little nervous about fit -- which size to get and whether they would work. Our daughter is 2 with a somewhat narrow head and they fit perfectly. I also think they will last her a while, so if you're debating about getting these based on fit, go for it! My best guess would be that they'll fit 99% of kiddos.
