Let me start off by saying that my item came exactly as it was described. I pay attention to the things I spend my money on and read the description given. The size was correct. The anticipated smell was correct (rice, flax seed, and lavender—not an essential oil). I’m always confused when people who say they’re allergic to “fragrance” are talking about natural flowers. I assumed they were allergic to artificial fragrance. Otherwise, you would say you were allergic to lavender -__- I laughed when I read comments about how it didn’t look like the photo because for me it was. I even measured it... and then I realized the model was petite, like me. So maybe a few people out there expected it to be much larger. My previous heating pad was one I got in a chiropractic office in my dad’s hometown in the Midwest. It was fleece and filled with corn kernels. It lasted much longer than I should’ve kept it (14 years). I threw it out when I realized how old it was. But I only kept it because I took care of it because I knew it was filled with dry food. I’m assuming this heating pad is the same. NEVER get it wet. Lay it flat to cool and air out. And put it in the microwave for 30 sec. intervals, being sure to shake the contents in between to get evenly heated. I’m already loving the lavender smell. I’m currently using it and it seems to work great. We’ll see after a few more uses how the rice holds up. But I think it’ll be fine.

I love this healing pad, works great both could and hot. But over the time it became very smelly, so I wonder if I can wash it Any suggestions? TIA
