High quality, very functional
I was looking for a swiss army knife, and Victorinox came heavily recommended to me. It's so small, and fits in any pocket or bag. It's high quality, and the knives haven't dulled at all. It's hard to pull open, but I figure that the mechanism will loosen after more usage. I brought it to a camping trip, and I used it multiple times. The scissors are very strong, and very sharp. The tweezers are very handy, but aren't the strongest. They work in a pinch, but a normal pair will work much better. The corkscrew is great for untying knots. If you twist the screw under a knot and pull, it can get most knots out easily. The knife overall is very light, and I don't even notice it in my pocket.

Best Overall Swiss Army Knife!
I did a lot of research into the different types of Swiss Army knives to see which one I would use the most. I originally bought the Pioneer Alox Silver knife because I liked that its the same model that the actual Swiss Army soldiers used from the 60's up till now. This knife is almost exactly the same as the Spartan in terms of size. It's big and has two slots with tools. The Pioneer comes with a large blade, can opener with screwdriver, bottle opener with screw driver and sharp pointed edge for poking holes. I was pleased with the knife since it looks classy but I wanted something that was more useful for everyday use. I like the Spartan because its identical to the original Swiss knife, but I wanted to look further. I stumbled onto so many different models for a variety of uses. Tools such as the wood saw, pliers, magnifying glass for instance I found that I don't use everyday. Plus I found that its better to use other more sturdier tools than a knife if you want to use pliers. The more tools make these knives too bulky and not ideal for carrying everywhere. I wanted something simple, yet eclectic. I have a minichamp, which is great because it has tools like scissors, an orange peeler and a pen. But I found that I use scissors a lot. Finally, I noticed the Climber and after much comparison, I decided its the best one for ME. Why? Because its not too bulky first off. It only has 3 slots for tools, making it slightly thicker than the Spartan but not as bulky as the Explorer. It has scissors which are perfect in size. It's essentially like the Spartan but with the added scissors and parcel carrier(which I find to be useless for most cases). And honestly this is all you need unless you need to cut wood or watch insects from up close with a magnifying glass. This is perfect for the urban gentleman. Some would prefer the Tinker because they find the separate philips screwdriver more useful than the corkscrew. Well fear not because the can opener, which comes on almost all swiss knives, has a screwdriver at the tip that's perfect for even the smallest Philips heads. The the extra room for a large philips screwdriver is useless because you already have a tool for that. Plus the corkscrew is useful in party type situations. So pick this over the Tinker. For those who want something more compact, try out the Compact model. This knife has only two slots but has almost everything including scissors. However, this knife consolidates the can opener and bottle opener. The catch? The tool is very thin and the tip isn't good for Philips screws, only good for flat heads. Also, there is no small blade. For those who don't care for the corkscrew or scissors, get the Pioneer. Why? Because its essentially the same model used by Swiss soldiers and it looks classy. Additionally, the large blade is much bigger than the large blade of regular swiss knives. But I recommend the Climber 100%. You even have more color options to choose from with this model. I would go with the classic red, that way everyone knows you're holding an awesome Swiss Army Knife. Happy shopping!

As usual, a great knife, well built, top of the line
I have several Victorinox SAK for various purposes. This one is a EDC for 'non-work' days. It's big enough to be useful - the scissors are the best on any pocket carry knife/tool IMHO. The tools are sturdy and useful, well designed. They can be a bit hard to open - recommend using some oil when you get yours. The hardest is the 'parcel hook' - I'm lazy to I use the tweezers when I need to open that, which is not often (but I really like having the tool when I need it). The lifetime warranty is great, I've sent some SAKs back and had them come back in almost new condition. Hard to find this kind of service and quality in other brands, even the American ones.

Great everyday knife
Victorinox is still making quality knives and this is no exception. This may be a bit big for a pocket carry but a great one to have stashed in the car or bag. I prefer the Spartan to carry in a pocket but this is also a great tool with the addition of scissors and the hook.

Victorinox Swiss Army Knife Climber
This is a great multi-purpose tool. I did a lot of research looking for a Swiss army knife that would best suit my hiking/camping needs. So far the Climber has proven to be a very good choice. I've used this on two or three camping trips and keep it inside of my car glovebox outside of that. I've had the tool for about 6 months now. Below I will break down the advantages of each individual part. Can opener - Use this a couple of times each camping trip. Pretty handy to have when camping rather than some either bulky or hard to find addition to all of your other items. Reamer - I've found this very useful for getting loose extremely tight knots that you wished you'd left some slack on, or even shoelaces that knot too tightly. Cork screw - Works great. I've used it several times now and plan on using it much, much more. (Cheers) I think this is a good sacrifice over the screwdriver! Scissors - Very nice to have, good for cutting nails/coupons. Nice to have on hand in the car. Bottle opener - Does its job. (Attached to Bottle opener) Wire stripper - Haven't used (or really plan on using). (Attached to Bottle opener and Can opener) Flathead screwdrivers, haven't used these yet but figure they may come in handy one day. Tweezers - Haven't used these yet either. Hook - Very nice for pulling out smaller, metal tent pegs.. although, my tent situation has recently been upgraded to the larger plastic ones (too bad). Toothpick - Nice to have if you've been eating corn on the cob! Blades (Large and small) - These are great! Very sharp and retain their edge pretty well, too. Overall, I would say that I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Perfect daily use pocketknife.
This was a replacement for a knife I have used for everyday use for 10+ years. Used both for work needs and home and garden needs, it has served me well. I am sure the new knife will serve me well also. Excellent quality and workmanship. The red color was exactly the same as older knife that I liked.

This is my 4th Victorinox knife. This one is replacing my 7 year old "Spartan" version. I carried it almost every day for those years. I can with absolute confidence say that Victorinox makes the best jackknife out there. They're incredibly durable, easy to sharpen, and so handy to have. My reason for upgrading is to have the scissors. Countless times they would have come in handy with my old knife, and so far I've used them quite a bit on my new one! All the blades are incredibly sharp. It takes no effort at all to slide through boxes. I was concerned that it would be a lot thicker than my old knife, but I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't feel more noticeable in my pocket. It's about 1/8th of an inch thicker, so if you're debating on this and a thinner knife, I would recommend this one. Many more features, still nice and thin, and it's not too expensive! If you want a knife to carry every day for decades to come, buy this one. *Note that my pictures make the knife look like it's lighter in colour. It's actually a deeper red like a poppy.*

Really good quality and useful functionalities, it saved my life when a wooden chopstick splinter got stuck inside my thumb, used the swiss army knife tweezers to get it out without any issue! Must have in any occasion! (even when eating sushi with wooden chopsticks in a restaurant)
