GM Genuine Parts TR26 (10325852) Fuel Tank Lock Ring (Right)

Fit perfectly but be warned, these things are quite a challenge to get locked down with even old seals. The trick I found, thanks to the YouTubes, is to take a pair of locking pliers and get them set up on one flat of the ring and then use a pair of large channel-lock pliers directly opposite to squeeze the ring and the tabs together. Spent 2 hours with brass punches, air hammers, and sledge hammers and this little trick worked like magic. It came with GM hologram stickers on the package so I'm certain it is OEM and it was identical to the original OEM that I removed.

I typically buy a replacement ring when I replace a fuel pump and that’s usually when a vehicle is 10 years old or greater and at that time, the old ring is more of a rust ring. I also buy high quality fuel pumps so I don’t have to repeat the labor for another 10 years. AC Delco or Delphi are great brands. I also take the time and clean the tank to prolong the life of the new pump. I know that’s a lot of extra work but it’s always a pain to change these so why not do a ‘once and done’ you and your time are more valuable then dinking with a new pump every year or two. I also tend to ding up the metal on the ring a little when I install (a few nicks) with a large screw driver and a mallet so I touch up with black Rustoleum to prevent rust. I have an install tool but don’t like the tool and prefer the large screw driver and mallet method. The ring was a perfect fit for my application, 05 Escalade.

2008 GMC sierra 5.3, buy this ring!, my existing ring was soaked in lube for 2 days and it still was as tight as a nuns crutch. I had the ring tool with a snipe bar and still had to hit the tool with a chisel with pressure on it. For the sake of $40. This ring was a perfect fit
