Great gun cleaning station, the mat is so wide, long and solvent resistant, it fits all my rifles and shot guns. Plus it has so many necessary tools, that store nicely, I'd recommend not to throw out the clear plastic, a sleeve inside the kit, this helps keep some of the cleaning heads from falling out and becoming a nuisance having to put them back into their place. Great compact, travel cleaning kit.

Works awesome, 6yrs later

I like that every tool I use for cleaning fits in the attached box, and different from what I’ve seen in other product reviews, that mat fully unrolls with no curled up edges. It isn’t as thick as some others, but I’m cleaning a gun, not using it as a hammer, so it seemed to offer enough table protection- including keeping oil from soaking through. Only gripe, as others have said, even though a storage bag is mentioned and shown...it isn’t in the box. I expected that so it won’t affect my rating, but they should correct that one way or another. *** As I was throwing away the packaging I noticed something inside a piece of taped cardboard. Rolled up and tucked inside was the bag I had assumed wasn’t included. I’ve included a picture to help others find it. Putting the mat inside is a tight fit, but I can get the cleaning station and a can of Ballistol in the bag so everything I need is there together.

The built in mat sold it for me; I don't have a good location to clean my guns, and often end up cleaning them on my bed. So having a built in rubber mat to keep from getting solvent, oil, and grime off my sheets is perfect. The tolls are also pretty nice, I'm not a huge fan of the plastic bore patch jags, the brass ones I have from other kits seem to work better. I also wish it had more than one length of rod, as the one that comes with it is much longer than necessary for my handguns. But besides the shorter rod and brass jags that I stole from a defunct kit, everything else is great. The magnetic lid closure is very secure, and never comes open in my backpack when I transport it, the handle is comfortable to use, and the plastic tools help me get the grit in all the tight places on my guns. Overall I would definitely recommend to anyone who's looking for a upper end basic kit that cleans multiple calibers.

Have mine for over a year and love it, it covers wide variety of calibers. Mat is amazing, absorbing excessive oil or cleanrs and easy to clean.
