Are all 9v alkaline the same?

When it comes to any batteries, steer clear of the words "Heavy Duty". They're nothing more than carbon batteries that have a short lifetime and have a tendency of leaking. Alkaline is much better BUT, don't buy any made in China, they are inferior to ones made in the U.S. So for hard to reach detectors, go with a better battery. For ones that are easy to reach and you change them at least once a year, the ones made in China will get you by. The bottom line, pay the extra money for a little piece of mind.

Hi, It is the 9 v battery. If it is sufficiently insulated, and the surrounding environment is dry and normal temperature environment, the battery will not be corrosive without leaking.
