Excellent way to upgrade/refurb/repurpose old computers on the cheap. This is now 3rd set of RAM sticks from this manufacturer and they've been great for the money. Updating to Max RAM capabilities has allowed me to keep 11+ year old computers usable in shop environments. Speed is great. Great install on the older Lenovo units (E540/E550) to reduce lag and keep productive performance and functionality on Win 10 Pro utilizing modern diagnostic SW. Check pin count for compatibility but if it's a laptop that is older than 10yrs, good chance this is going to be drop in.

Installed on an ancient Dell AIO 3048 PC and works great. However, it needed to be installed and recognized by the BIOS one stick at a time. When I installed both sticks at first, PC didn’t POST. Took one stick out and restarted and POST’ed fine. Shut PC down…inserted second stick and BAM! Both sticks recognized! Installed Windows 11 (yes Windows 11) by using a 3rd party tool called FlyOOBE. PC has been running great/perfectly! If using 3rd party tool, make sure you are downloading from the original source (GitHub)! Too many fake sites so be careful. Almost forgot, I ran the Windows 11 built-in memory test and both sticks passed without errors. Very nice cheap ram to continue using this PC someone else was going to trash 😁.

Like a miracle. These 2 memory chips turned a miserable to use 16 GB imac into a powerhouse, a wonderland of speed plus lots and lots of open windows with no problem. My old junky, near useless imac turned into something that feels more like a super computer. Everything is faster. You can feel the raw power! And all just from a RAM upgrade.

I installed this on my Mid-2012 MacBook Pro, and it hasn't given me any issues! It was easy to install, and works perfectly. It should be noted that this is DDR3, which means that R/W won't be super fast, but if you're looking to upgrade an old laptop, these are what you need!
