Baxton Studio Entryway Bench, Espresso

Please do keep in mind yes it is not real wood but for the price it is great quality. Takes time to put together but it does have shelves and drawers you should expect that ! Love how nice it looks and it is sturdy.

Pretty heavy. Took me 2 hours to assemble by myself. The instructions were not all that great; a few mistakes and some not so clear parts but I was able to figure it out. Looks great. It is that particle board so Im assuming if its moved around too much it will start to break apart so after I put it where I want im not going to move it. Shoe cubbys are pretty tight but work (They wont hold boots or thick, bulky shoes). The drawers are not deep but I plan to put gloves and hats in them so it works. All in all its a good buy for the price.

PROS: The bench looks really nice when it is completed. It is quite solid (and heavy). CONS: It comes with zero pre-assembly. You have to put together every last piece of wood. The instructions have an error (a board is mislabeled) and they are just not clear. There are no words. You have to try to figure out what they want you to do. The first couple of pages just want you to attach screws to the boards. They put all the boards in a fashion that made it seem like you were supposed to put them together at that point. You have to try to flip through all the instructions to try to figure it out. Assembly took about 2 to 3 hours. It's best to have someone help you. After it was all assembled, the horizontal boards that sit below the bench to give you a 2nd level of storage slots are held up by these metal pegs that just fall out on their own and do a poor job of staying put in their pre-drilled sockets.

Product came a bit damaged but was on inside board and did not compromise the sturdiness off product. Once assembled it’s beautiful!!!! One thing I want to point out is some pictures show boots in unit, the cubbies are small, heels need to be put in on sides so if you have expensive heels I wouldn’t recommend using cubbies. They are nice and deep and the drawers are useful.

Worst Item I have ever purchased from Amazon. This came with no instructions. Pieces were bent, missing and it took three days to put together. It didn't come with a lot of the screws that it needed. It doesn't work right because the metal for the drawers was bent. It was a huge headache, and now to take it apart to send it back doesn't seem worth it. Throw it away...chalk it up...don't buy it. The shoe cubbies are tiny. It's not quality. Don't buy it!

I love it! It's a cute little entry way bench with cubbies and drawers. It took a long time to assemble. It was not difficult at all, just time-consuming. The only problem I ran into was (see photo) I first attached the drawer runners upside down. The photo shows the correct way, with the wheel toward the bottom, so the drawer can be put in. Even after assembling the whole thing, I was able to reach in, unscrew the ones I had placed wrong, and screw them in correctly. It was a simple fix. It's perfect for my front entryway and the kids' shoes.

This is a nice looking shoe storage & bench combo. There are a lot of parts for assembly and plan for 1-2 hours. The instructions could be a lot clearer with better images when you're not sure which part they really want assembled. If you have built any off the shelf item before, its not hard to figure out what it should look like during assembly. Shoe storage is small or meant to be stacked on top of each other. Overall very pleased with this!

The bench itself is sturdy and a good quality. That being said, it was an absolute nightmare to assemble. None of the components were numbered and it was difficult to figure out what part belongs where in comparison to the assemble diagram.

Best thing you can get through amazon as a entryway bench!

I think it looks nice and elegant. A few things which bugged me about this was the fact that left and right side panels are deeper than the rest of the unit and my wall was just 40 inches. This means that a slight push on this unit and it will move as it does not touch the wall along its back. Also, like others have mentioned, the cubbies are not too big and therefore fitting adult sized shoes in them becomes difficult.
