You really get a sence fro how much stuff these are filtering out after replacing one. The old one was WAY HEAVIER than the new one. And I'm not talking about it being wet. It was super dense feeling from filtering out heavy metals. Highly recommend!

haven't had any problems since using this product. i live in the pacific NW so I'm kinda spoiled when it comes to water-quality, but I prefer to have the cleanest water possible for my hydroponic garden and I'm ok spending the money to buy a new one of these every 3 or 4 months. you can tell you need a replacement when the one in your filter starts to get a gunky gross yellow/rusty color to it.
