The product is a combination of fabric and metal, both seem to be of a high quality. We used this on a couple day road trip. It did a good job of preventing our dog from getting in the front seat or flying around on a quick stop. It is short enough that he did not get tangled in it. It is adjustable somewhat to make it longer if we wanted. It is nice to be able to open the car door and have control over him. When taking the dog out of the car, we added the leash to his collar first and then removed this product from his collar. Then when returning him to the car, it is attaching this to his collar and then removing the leash. Not sure how this would hold up after 5 years in the hot sun inside a car.

It is the best thing to buy for dogs. The dogs are not going back and forth from the back seat to the front seat. It sis also good because if you are ever in an accident, it will secure the dog.

It’s a great seatbelt for our dog

I bought 3 of these and another 2 for a friend. They work awesome. They allow me to open the doors of my car without my puppies escaping from me. They also keep them in place inside the car where they stay in the back seat without getting in the front while I'm driving. And they keep them quite safe in case something happens. I love them and use them for all 3 dogs. I couldn't get along without them. I am able to attach their leashes while still attached to the seat belts and the make it able for me to release them when I get ready making it safer for me and the dogs. I love these seat belts.

It works as listed. The reason I am giving it a 4 star rating is because it does you cannot make it any shorter than it is. It is nothing against the company. It is a solid, strong material, it clips in your seat belt receiver securely. I would recommend to others who have dogs that are not great in the car.

I picked this item up a few months ago when my wife and I started fostering dogs. One thing we do as fosters is help transport dogs when needed. On this particular incident, the dog in question was a known flight risk, so we took extra precautions to ensure she was properly strapped in via this device. She was delivering the dog from the vet to its foster human when she was rear ended on the interstate. The dog was knocked from the back seat into the floor of the car, the rear windshield was shattered, and various other vehicle damages were incurred. However, the dog was completely fine. In fact, she was the calmest one of the bunch. Without this device, the dog would have been thrown around inside the vehicle, and possibly escaped. Thanks to this device, there was not a mark on the dog and she was completely fine. We will never have another animal in the car without this restraint. Thank you so much for engineering such a wonderful item. I can’t even imagine the heartache we would have experienced if, on top of having to deal with the aftermath of a wreck, we also had to deal with the injury or loss of the dog.

It can shorten or lengthen depending on the size of the dog. Easily to change it up. Locks into the seat belt and releases easy. I used this on my 60 lb dog and he was able to move around but still be secure. When I open the car door no more jumping out!

Great purchase! Our dog had the bad habit of wanting to be in the front seat. This seatbelt keeps her in the back where she napped on our way to the cottage.

This tether is perfect for my dog when attached to her harness. Prevents her from roaming around inside the car during journeys, and would help keep her safe should the necessity arise. The tether length can be adjusted to suit the dog's size. I have a Nissan and the clip fits perfectly into the seat belt anchor. Excellent value in my opinion.
