Best work yet
This is Joshua Medcalf's best book to date. I have read every book written by Joshua Medcalf and find them inspiring and insightful. Chop Wood Carry Water had a profound impact on my thought process and how I approach many things in life and business. The Future of Leadership did the same.As Joshua does a great job of explaining ,we live in a half changed world that results in conflicts between what was and what is. This easy to read fable takes us through that struggle and offers leadership insights that will cause you to pause and reflect about what leadership means in our new world.Like his other books, the story will cause you to think and impact you as a leader. I suggest a pen and notepad as you will go back and refer to them often.

Not Old School vs. New School, but Old School With New School
For the Baby Boomer/GenX leader, this read is for you. For the struggling elder millennial who is caught between two worlds of Old School & New School, this is for you. For the younger Millenials/Gen Z who are breaking into the business, need help understanding the Old School, & how your New School mentality can lead into the future, this book is for you. In all aspects of life, we are in a World at War with each other. The current crossroads between the Hierarchy & the Network can lead to a hard path, and navigating it can be even more difficult. Joshua Medcalf does it again with Seth Mattison in this fable with similar themes of previous books of “Chop Wood, Carry Water” & “Pound The Stone,” while bringing new viewpoints and critics thoughts to leadership. A MUST read!

Powerful story inside the cover!
I have read all of Joshuas' books except for Hustle (have purchased it). I was enthralled and captivated with the story and "The Long Game" chapter brought tears to my eyes! Some familiarity from other works, but through every event I can see opportunities to learn and grow. Now for the hard work of living it.

Great story, wanted more
Another wonderful leadership fable. There were many truths, but not enough tangible take aways. Left me wanting more of the how-to details.

Awesome book
Can we give 10 stars? Easy read, but so effective in making points, and promoting change. Simple life application, great for teenagers thru the oldest members of society. Keeps your interest, and makes you want to continue to read.
