A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting #1 (Babysitter's Guide to Monsters, 1)

Ok I get it, the author is a west coast liberal...why is that important to this Middle Grade story? Why did you have to drop a bunch of politics into this story in an almost subliminal fashion and expect readers who are adults won't call you on it? Keep your politics out of MG books, is there no where a person can go anymore and hope not to have politics foisted on them? 2 stars off for you.

I had already watched the movie on Netflix, but just had to read the book since I am such a bookworm. It is SO good! I could not put it down. Yes, I know it is a kid's book, but honestly, if it is well written, then it reaches all age groups.

My stepdaughter wanted to read this because she loved the movie. She now excitedly tells me about every development in the book and how it compares to the movie!

At the end of last school year we received a list of books for upcoming 6th graders. So I bought my 11 yo this book. She finished it in a week and asked for the second book!!!!

Got all three of these books for my granddaughter. She loved the gift. Her younger sister was excited as well because she will get to read them too.

Just love books. I heard it good and will read them soon.

Extremely imaginative book! Addresses the lurking monsters under the bed and the battle against these smelly creatures. An adventure for sure. So much fun to read!

Arrived on time; was as described; was securely packaged. My granddaughter (and I) loved it. My granddaughter read it a second time within days after first reading it.

A very good read for youngsters and not so young up to age 10/11
