Very affordable and works well
Bought this for my new office and it works great. The company is in the process of getting us some really good headsets, but for the time being this one works great and was very affordable. The only thing I would say is that i wish the wire was a bit longer as I use a sit-stand desk and when i am standing its pretty much at the max and pulls a bit if i move around. But for what this one costs, I have zero complaints. I will note that on my NEC phone system at work, I had to remove the controller that comes with this one and plug the headset directly into the headset jack on the phone without the controller because the controller was not allowing the microphone to work properly even with all the different settings. But without the controller it works great!

You get what you paid for: ~50% fail within a few months
I bought quite a few of these (8 binaural and 9 monaural model) AGP headsets over the past couple of years; they rarely fail to fail within a few months, some within weeks - a couple made it through a year+ The sound quality is usually OK - but often degraded with our side the main suspect. I tried - once - to activate the warranty, but found out I have to send this $13-$14 item back, at my own expense, to be examined and only then may receive a replacement. The current warranty term/coverage is a joke. So, if you're OK with a low-cots item of passable quality that will most likely fail within 3 months under medium usage - this is the headset for you! I'm very happy for the 4-5 star reviewers here that - evidently - had great luck with their purchase. PS - If you want a pile of 10 of these with a variety of issues (can't hear other side, other side can't hear you, sound suddenly goes in and out etc.), I'll gladly let you have it (for delivery fees; I would like to keep the seller's standards!) Quick update: Had to lower my review to a single star, as a recent batch started failing within weeks. Naturally, by the time the user reported that everybody calling hear an echo - it's been 6 weeks and I can't return (yet another) faulty unit. So, failure percentage remains high - and support/warranty nonexistent. Probably not worth it even for the bargain shoppers.

Volume was low
Customers complained that they had a hard time hearing me. Not much noise cancelling. Cause customers said they just heard a lot of wind blowing which was from my desktop fan

It Acutally Works
First Headset that i have found that has multiple settings to help make the call clearer. Worked the minute I pulled it out of the box. Good product for the price.

Works well with Polycom Soundpoint 430 SIP
I have an older Polycom IP phone (Soundpoint 430 SIP), which never worked with my old Plantronics headset. I've been suffering from neck and shoulder pain from cradling the handset so I decided I really really needed a headset. After reading a review from another Polycom user (different model) I decided to order. $12 is incredibly cheap for what this thing delivers. It came with an adaptor that plugs into the headset jack and has mute and volume and a switch to change something referred to as a circuit line (8 options - I just left it on the default). Plugged it in and made a couple test calls. Everyone so far reports no problems. Switched back and forth between handset and headset and my test calls sounded the same. So far very very pleased.

Poorly designed, cheaply made
This headset comes in two pieces: the headset itself and a control box. The headset plugs into the control box which plugs into the receiver jack of your phone. The box has a volume slider and a mute button. The headset consists of an earpiece, a boom mic, and adjustable head band. The band resists moving with undue stubbornness making it difficult to adjust correctly, especially when on your head. The earpiece sits on a u-shaped hinge to allow it to tilt to the proper angle for your ear; however, it can only tilt a couple of millimeters because the disc-shaped base of the mic boom is too large. I found it impossible to get a comfortable fit. The control box is… well, it’s a box with a cable sticking out of one end for the phone plug. The cable has protective ribbing near the plug causing it to stick out from the jack a couple of centimeters. This is a problem for phones like mine which have the receiver jack on the bottom. Plugging this thing in made my phone wobble like a bad restaurant table. I guess I could’ve just stuffed some sugar packets under the opposite corner. The volume slider is discrete rather than continuous and has eight settings, two of which actually worked. It’s also recessed 2-3mm making it difficult to adjust. When I test called a coworker I had to keep fiddling with the slider to find a setting where we could hear each other. He then asked if I was trapped in a metal garbage can which I took to mean he heard an echo. I didn’t bother to test the mute button. I think this headset is a piece of garbage. But hey, what did I expect for twelve bucks? Next time I’ll splurge and get one for twenty.
