Don't throw out your old fiber optics before checking to see if it's just the light bulb. If the color wheel motor is blown, fixing them is a little more complicated, but if it's just the light bulb? Pie e of cake! Just buy these awesome bulbs. Unscrew the base of your fiber optic base, pull out the blown bulb and pop in the new one. They pop in and out easily! I just brought three of my favorite holiday fiber optics pieces back to life (see attatched photos!) Plus I have plenty of bulbs left to fix any others that may pop up (or out) thanks to the great value of these awesome bulbs the Holidays will be bright this year! Well.. Or colorful at least! I have used exactly ONE of these. It went into a very cool Halloween decoration, which had a burned out bulb. The bulb we purchased fit as expected, and worked as expected. At our current rate of use, I figure that we have enough bulbs to last for at least the next 150 years, at which time these will likely cost about $2,000 each, so I'm looking at this as a long-term investment.

Good for the money but I had to bend a pin for one project and, with very little pressure, it broke completely off. If your socket is in good condition it should be fine. I'm not sure about the brightness because I have nothing to compare it to.

Great value and did the job

The price is right for these MR11 incandescents but they don't last as long as the ones I've used over the past 20 years in our animated Christmas decorations (indoor). The previous bulbs would last for at least 2 Christmas seasons of continuous 24-hour use for a month, sometimes as long as 4 seasons. This batch didn't quite make it through one season, so not quite as good a value. Next year I will look for bulbs where people indicate they last longer -- always assuming anyone is manufacturing them to last that long anymore.

I’ve used these bulb for the last five years. They are nice and bright and are fairly long lasting. This is the second box I’ve ordered and am very happy with them. I use them in the hood over the stove.
