At the end of the day: its kitten approved
Edit: raised my review from 3 to 5, heres why:1) i learned they donate a toy to shelter cats for each review, and thats just friggin cool, man. In my book, its good business to give back like that.2) while my kitten has for sure been able to bite holes in the cardboard, and even tare it in a couple spots, it has held up remarkably well in the few weeks we’ve had it. I don’t think its actually ad flimsy as i first thought it would be. And; id rather teeth holes in cardboard, than chipped teeth from chewing on plastic.100% recommend. Mischief muffin approved.Cons:-some of the parts came pre-bent in places they’re not meant to bend, which made them go together funny.-its made of fancy cardboard. Id likely be able to make something similar from an exacto knife, and the TCG card storage boxes they sell for a couple bucks at game stores.-because its just cardboard, my kitten has already ripped it in a few spots. Not to the point where its ruined, but just enough for me to grumble about the quality for price.Pros:-its a clever design, and its cuter than what i would probably put together-theres a link to a little book about indoor cat enrichment, which im looking forward to gettin some ideas from-interestingly enough: it’s cardboard- because it’s cardboard, its light enough for my kitten to push around and get all his mischievous energy out without me worrying he’s gonna get hurt. No chance of splinters, or getting hurt on a corner or anything like that.MOST IMPORTANTLY-it kept my INCREDIBLY food motivated kitten busy for quite some time. He keeps walking away, then going right back to it.I only stuck like 6 treats in there, and he’s still working on it. This kid is less than a year old, but he has mastered the hardest treat puzzles we’ve been able to find for him in minutes after we set them down for the first time.Over all, I am glad we’ve got it. Its keeping the mischief muffin busy, im gonna end up feeding him fewer treats for the same amount of play time, and the hamster pattern is really cute. I also like the “don’t declaw!” Message on the bottom, with a link to sites with alternatives.I may be a touch disappointed in the quality of material, but id still be tempted to replace it once the cats shred it.My cat is happy, so im happy.

Feenie says 5 star product (with update/advice)
The media could not be loaded. Within seconds of the treats going in he was pawing at them. Twenty minutes in and he got 3 in a row, so it is doable but a great challenge! He’s very motivated by food (clearly) but is getting into his senior years and not as playful. Really good independent/food reward play. Not sure how long it will last with those claws hahaha will write follow up!Update Jan 2021 -Both cats are still very engaged once they see treats in there. How to get your cat started - I’d suggest to help the cat understand what’s going on give them a treat first, then grab a second treat and lead them to an opening side hole with it.Put treat just on the other side of the hole so it’s easy for them to see. They then should start pawing and get the concept that they can get the treats out.Over time it gets easier for them so after a few weeks I started putting treats into the inner boxes. They both stay engaged by pawing, dragging it and sometimes knocking it over lolEntertaining for them and for us to watch!Box has held up great, both cats have all claws- no dents, rips or additional holes.Use - I take it out 2 to 3 times a week. They both beg for food hours before morning/evening feedings so I use it before feeding or in between.I leave it out for a few hours but then put it away in between uses. They get more excited when they see the box come out because it’s not always around!Going to get another treat toy for them so I can switch it up and they won’t get bored!100% recommend the product.

Cat is Enchanted and Entertained! Needs better written assembly instructions
This is a great cat toy! She'll work it for about 3 hours a day, more if I would put more treats or food in it. Its a great design and a great idea, and its fantastic if you need to happily distract your cat for a while. That said, it's just cardboard. You could make this with a couple of boxes and a sharp box knife. Im happy to pay for the design, but the price point really does seem high given what it is. And the instructions that come for putting it together are terrible- they really want you to go to the video online, but there are many reasons I hate doing that- they are loud, full of ads, often have bad background music, flashing effects......and they hang up or crash if your internet service is twitchy. Maybe you're doing this late at night, or with a sleeping baby....Anyway, when I've just paid $22 for a cardboard box I'm going to need to fold myself, some decent printed instructions really should come with it. But, cat is happy, so I am too. >^..^<

Fun for the entire gang!
So I got this toy and the original at the same time. I figured it would take my kitties some time to get used to the original, so eventually I would put this one out. Apparently, they're smarter than I thought. (D'oh! lol) They figured out the original one quickly, so after a couple of days I put the Sliders together (assembly was relatively straight forward with the directions) and put this one out. It's definitely harder for them, but 6 of my 8 cats have no problem at all getting most of the treats out, and then taking more time to get the last ones. The toy itself is pretty sturdy. My kitties are determined - and destructive - and so far, this one is standing up to them. (For the record, so does the original. These suckers are well made!) I'm sure that at some point I'll need to replace it (cardboard doesn't last forever, and they have sharp claws!), but the price is low enough that their enjoyment of it makes it worth it. (I've had it about a month now. There is only superficial damage to it - including from my 2 20-pounders climbing on top of it. It didn't collapse!)In short: most of my cats LOVE this. Even my kitty who would prefer to cheat off the hard work of the other kitties (and steal the treats they retrieve) uses it. Clearly, not every cat will like every toy, and 2 of my cats don't care at all. But most of them love it, so for me in my house (with my treat-gobbling fur-beasts), this is a big WIN.
