I was so pleased with the quality of the first of these rugs I purchased that, immediately on receiving it, I ordered a second. This review covers both my purchases. Some jute rugs are rather thin and insubstantial - these ones are not ! These rugs are robust, well made and competitively priced.

Great product

Great size and quality. Thick, sturdy and looks super

I received my rug quickly, especially considering the current COVID-19 situation. It is thick, durable and looks good, WARNING However, I did notice that after having the rug in my room for 24 hours, I started to experience shortness of breath. I spent all day in my room working from home. Initially I thought perhaps I was just feeling stressed about the Coronavirus situation and work, and thought it would go away. Several hours passed and I was still feeling tight in my chest and struggling to breathe. I didn't have any other symptoms of coronavirus, just this tight feeling preventing my lungs from filling up to full capacity. So, I went for a walk to get some fresh air and started to feel better. It then suddenly dawned on me that it could be this new rug. I took it out of my room and, after an hour or so, I felt a lot better and was able to breathe properly and again. I am 27 and haven't suffered from asthma since I was a very young child. So, I started to look at Jute allergies and found a lot of stories and research that links asthma and general respiratory problems with jute and burlap. I've asked the seller to issue a warning on the rug so that others do not find themselves in similar situations or worse. Be careful.
