Best camera I have ever used!
Some reviews say "my phone can take better photos!". At close range, your $1000+ flagship can probably take better photos. At a distance, though, this camera shines. It can go up to 100x digital zoom, and 42x optical zoom. Let me explain quick. Digital zoom zooms using AI basically. It looses quality the further you zoom. You can do that up to 100x. Optical zoom is where the camera takes a photo with up to 42x zoom with the same quality as 1x zoom. Which is how this camera shines. The first photo was taken at 32x zoom (white and red plane). The second photo was taken at 7x zoom (green, white and blue plane). The third photo was taken at no zoom (black plane). And the last photo was taken at 20x zoom on a 100 degree day (so heat blur). It is an amazing camera for a lot of zoom. Sturdy as well, I have dropped it a few times with no visible damage, and the value is amazing! $150-175 for a camera this good is amazing.

Camera Defective Battery Issue
UPDATE: I just got the new battery and it fixed the issue! This is a very light camera that takes wonderful pics! But....My biggest issue is that I just purchased this camera brand new, it got here Monday to only find out it only turns on when on the charger, no matter how long you charge it. I read the instructions over and over, after looking up more info about my problem it is apparently a common issue with this camera. I emailed KodakPixPro regarding my issue and they are sending me a new battery for free to try to fix that issue. I am pretty bummed about it overall though, I was such excited to take pics of my Furbabies but I have to hook it up to the charger to take any pics, it immediately turns off and doesn't turn back on once I take it off the charger. Must be a common defective issue with this camera.

Pretty Good Camera
I am not a camera buff, so can only judge from that standpoint. Just needed a quick point-and-shoot really. I like the weight and design so that I can hold onto it well. Not a fan of the strap and the attached lens cover. Taking them back off. They just get in the way all the time when I'm trying to take a picture. Not of fan of the reddish coloring in the skin tone that I can't get rid of. Also not a fan of "waiting for the green light" before taking the picture (not sure if all cameras do this as of late?) but the button is too touchy and it takes the picture all the time before I get the go-ahead green light. Even with the green light, the skin tone is a little too red. Not bad, but compared to my old cheap camera, it's obvious. Probably best for folks that know more about cameras. Also...why can't we have an instruction manual anymore? Who wants to print out and keep on hand so many pages!

Camera is very nice!
I love my camera. This was a great value for quality, all the different functions, easy to handle, the size, and it's so easy to use. I also purchased this case from Amazon that it's sitting in. I love it!!

It works without noise when zooming in taking a video.
It works fine with me. It is quiet when zooming with telephoto for a video.

Camera has serious issues!
DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA! I bought one last year. It lasted a few months and then quit while I was taking pictures at my nephews wedding. The camera had been connected with its charger cable all night. I was first sent a new battery and cable by customer service as it was still under warranty but this did not correct the problem. Then I was sent a replacement camera which again lasted a few months and then ceased to function. I removed the battery which is marked 3.7volts and checked it with a voltmeter which shows a 3.6 volt charge so I think camera should still function but it does not. The service center is going to send me a new camera, which will be the third one but I have little confidence it will last more than a couple months. Received the third camera and a new battery. It also will not charge the battery! So three cameras, a number of batteries and all I have is a hole in my wallet. I believe the camera has a serious design or manufacturing flaw which I believe Kodak views as acceptable as long as they can keep selling them. My Olympus lasted several years at half the price. It is now Feb. 2025 and the camera has ceased to function. One thing I learned is that with the camera connected to the PC via the USB connector, it says its charging but it was not. It would only charge when connected to a USB adapter plugged into the wall. Okay, easy enough to deal with but now there is nothing. After being plugged in to charge overnight it would not work. I connected to the wall again and found I could get it to work while connected but that has also stopped. There is obviously something wrong with the charging circuit/power connection which I would think to be very basic electronics and easily made to be reliable. Kodak is sending me a charged battery and cable to try but I am thinking this camera is morte.

Sad truth.. Your phone takes better pictures.
Honestly - it’s a 2015 camera so i shouldn’t be surprised it’s not THE BEST ya know. Especially with how technology has upgraded so much since then. I got what I paid for- I wanted a professional camera without paying the high $500 + price tag. It’s not the worst camera by any means - it takes SOME nice photos and I think I need to play with it more(I’ll update my review if I charge my mind but I’ve already taken it out for day trips to the beach and stuff and it doesn’t do well with motion). HOWEVER as much as I hate to admit I wasted this much money- my iPhone 8 camera is better than this camera. If you have a newer phone- it takes a more clear photo than this. Zooming even just a little bit makes it blurry. 🙃
