Worked fine, I consider it a good value for what I paid
I used this to install a backup camera for my older pickup truck (1978). The install went fine. I already had a long RCA style video cable with an extra red wire coming out, from the backup cam I bought. I just hooked this extra red wire into the power from the backup lights so the backup lights would switch on the camera and also send this extra signal back up to this unit, turning it to channel 2. I think this unit could be used to display something else on channel 1 (like gps maps or something) and it would auto switch to 2 when reverse is engaged. The screen is clear and large and bright as far as I can tell. I like the fact that is is 7 inch, larger than smaller backup cam screens I've purchased in the past. There was nothing confusing about the directions or install from my perspective. I comes with basically two options, a plastic cowl/enclosure so you can install it into a headrest or something like that, or a base/stand so I just had to pop it out of the plastic cowl I am not using. I am using the stand. I haven't decided where I will mount it but for now it sits fine in front of the bench seat. The connections are simple: black and red for main power/ground, green for "trigger" (send power to this to switch it to AV2 like I did), and then AV1 and AV2 inputs (AV1 for "normal" and AV2 for the backup). You can also manually switch inputs with a button on the front. There seemed to be other buttons, I didn't press any of them because I'm only using the backup cam so far and it works fine. There was a remote I also don't think I will want to use for anything. I'd buy this again.

Your vehicle deserves this product
Love all of them. I have purchased about 20 and use them on all video applications when doing audio-video in my vehicles.

Great product for the price
This was easy to install, running the cable took some time, but I wanted it done right. Picture is good, no complaints for that price, at this point I have bought 2, one for me and one for my sons car.

replaced 2 of these
So I installed a backup cam for a friends van and keep in mind, I've been doing car audio for over 25 years. I replaced both of these burning out two times now in almost exact sync of only lasting 1 month on both. Weird to say both burned out about a month. Both were the same brand but one was bought on Ebay and the other was on Amazon. Exact cable and exact hook ups. The van had also had a windshield cover keeping the screen from being over heated while parked. So something that should withstand heat in a car don't know why it just stopped working. No bleed on the screen no fuses busted...just the screen blanked out on both. There was a "blue light" indicator on the front but that also showed when starting the car it stopped turning on. There aren't a lot of different brand "backup cam screens" to test other brands. Seems this is a typical brand screen that I could see. I can't find just a screen without buying a whole new backup and wiring system. So for my review the fact that 2 screens didn't last a month each, not the greatest quality and durability and now a family is left with use. Just couple of cameras they can't backup to their camper with!

Good quality and function
Works perfectly, and the adhesive pad on the stand is super sticky so there's no need for extra hold

Picture position upside down very often
I dislike when screen turns on with picture upside down, then turns wright position , sometimes does not. Its annoing when you want to revers quickly.

Bought this as a replacement for one very much like it that stopped working. So far so good with this one.
