Love this electric kettle
I bought this as part of a gift for my mother-in-law. A snack basket that included hot cocoa and chia tea mixes were included. This pot is the perfect size, heats quickly and features an automatic shut off when it reaches temperature (which was an important safety feature for me). It also looks good on had counter and was a great value. She loves it and I am thinking of upgrading my smaller goose neck kettle to this one.

Works great! Tea and Coffee!
I purchased this as gift for making tea. It's received high praise for being very nice looking and easy to use. So much so that I broke out my old Aeropress and have been using it on the sly for making a late-afternoon pick-me-up the last couple of weeks. My experience tracks: it heats the water up quickly, and is much better than using a kettle on the stove or heating up water in the microwave. I'm impressed with it's speed and the pouring spout is a nice touch to get the hot water exactly where you want it. I would add one watch-out with the pouring spout: it is glass and it does stick out enough to be functional. I've been pretty butterfingers with things lately so I have to be very aware when filling it not to bump it against the side of the sink. But, that's not a design law or a knock against the product at all, just a note of be careful with it!

Heats up SUPER FAST. Great for Dorms, Small Spaces etc
I bought this during a time when I was living in a space where I did not have access to the kitchen or stove so I had to accommodate by buying an electric tea kettle. I constantly was eating Ramen noodles and macaroni and cheese in a cup so in order to avoid having to use additional appliances, this is literally as easy as filling the cattle, plugging in and waiting one minute if not less than that for extremely hot boiled water. I was so impressed by how quickly the water begin to boil and you can hear it progress from a low rumble to a gradual loud gurgling as the water heats up and you see the steam disbursed from the spout. It’s rather easy to clean and I like how it auto turns off after the water has boiled. I took a star away because I’ve only had it for about three months and I already noticed that the bottom is beginning to rust very faintly.. Aside from that, it does its job perfectly and I can always count on it to help me boil a cup of tea in the morning or make a quick cup of instant coffee before running out to go to work.

3 years later and it's still kicking
Boils fast. Bottom is stainless. Lid seal is still easy and secure. Some wear on the faux wood bits, but it still looks decent. No regrets.

False advertising - Water DOES come into contact with plastic!!
I bought this kettle specifically because it was advertised as completely stainless steel inside, so that water boiled in it would not come into contact with anything plastic. I tried it out and immediately saw those claims were not true. Proof is in the product photos uploaded by the seller and the other customers - if you look closely. I will also upload my own photos clearly showing the design flaw. The hinge attaching the lid to the rest of the kettle is made of black plastic and it takes up about 1/4th of the lid. The rest of the lid appears to be stainless steel. But when the lid is closed, approximately 1 inch of the length of that black plastic part sits directly above the boiling water, and collects condensed steam. The water on the underside of the lid tends to sit there for a while (marinating in all that hot plastic goodness) before dripping down into the rest of the water. If it doesn't drip down, well, next time you open the lid to refill the kettle, gravity pulls that water down and it gets pooled into the water you're about to drink. Even if you didn't open the lid, the next time you boil water in that kettle, more steam will collect on the lid until enough of it pools to drip down or until the lid is next opened. Hot water sitting in direct contact with plastic for extended periods of time is probably not something you want in your beverage. I've tried to upload photos making it clear that the stainless steel part of the lid does not span the entirety of the kettle opening. I included measurements with a ruler and a tape measure for clarity. I also included one photo of the open lid with steam condensed on the black plastic part. This is frustrating and disappointing because simply testing the kettle once would have been enough for the sellers to realize their claims aren't true, so I'm not entirely sure the sellers weren't already aware of this flaw and therefore aware that they were falsely advertising. Now I have to spend time repacking this item, printing a label, and dropping it off at a UPS store, then purchase a different kettle and wait several days for that one to arrive. It seems that this is an issue with a lot of kettles (including the Amazon Basics one I am replacing) - the difference is that most of the others don't lie about the water not coming into contact with plastic. After searching through several pages on Amazon for a kettle that would provide a truly plastic-less hot water experience, I suspect that the only kettles available are the ones where the underside of the lid is completely stainless steel, and those tend to be the ones where the lid comes off entirely (as opposed to being attached via a hinge mechanism.)

6 years and counting
I love this kettle. I’ve had it for 6 years now. It is very easy to clean and it boils the water very fast. I recommend it.

Good kettle, but on/off switch prone to failure
I’ve purchased a couple of these kettles. I do like the look and design. A problem I keep encountering is with the switch. They are prone to failure. The first kettle lasted about a year before the switch failed. Then the switch on the second failed after like a month. You can get a replacement switch online for a couple dollars and replace, but gets annoying after having to replace over and over again.

Can be used upstairs so no need to go downstairs to make the morning cuppa. Neat and good pourer. No complaints at the moment.

I don't don't know what to do. It took a long time to arrive, but I wasn't in the country so when I arrived and opened the box to use it, the plug was for America and it didn't fit the India standard plug.
