Works great except for locking mechanism
This has been great. I have definitely noticed a difference in forearm strength, and size since using this product. One downside is that the red locking mechanism in the middle will become undone on its own which leaves the rope holding the weight free spooling and can be dangerous, as the spinning center piece can smack your hand or fingers (has happened to me a couple times) and the weight will drop freely onto whatever is beneath it. This isn’t an issue if you just use the wide hand grips and not the bar that goes with it. Another downside which I have seen in other reviews is that sweaty hands (or if you use lotion) make it tough to grip/turn the plastic handles. This piece can be overcome by wearing workout gloves and isn’t too big of an issue. Overall I like the product, but the locking piece coming undone on its own and the danger this presents is a concern. The seller was responsive to my feedback and handled it in a positive manner.

Works reasonably well but you will need to add some grip tape and add it very carefully.
The roller is fairly well made--plastic from China but will do the job. However, the red grips are so difficult to use without some sort of grip tape. I used "Meister StickElite Professional Porous Athletic Tape - 15yd x 1.5" - Black - 1 Roll) (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06W9M7J2P?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) and it completely fixed the issue. However, be careful how you add the tape. On the one side of the grip you can add the tape freely and I did so by just using one continuous piece to wrap the one side at an angle. However, on the other side--the side that has to fit through the hole to remove the bar and use just the wheel--that must be thinly layered or else the bar will not be able to be removed. I used one strip next to another. Not as good as the other side but still effective. One use that I did not see on here is using the roller with a "flex machine." I have the "XMARK Functional Trainer Cable Machine, Commercial and Home Gym Functional Trainers" (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00823OQHU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1). I lower one side and hook the carabiner of the DMoose Roller to the carabiner of the flex machine and this provides an excellent way to use the product. The weight of the stack can easily be adjusted, your shoulders do not burn, the angle is far superior, the mechanics are far better, and the workout just overall improved. I do recommend this product; however, be aware of some of the limitations (grip being the largest).

Great for hand and wrist strengthening
This product has been very useful for my outpatients to not only strengthen their wrists, but their hands/grip as well with the option of removing the handle. Very easy set up and seems to be built well.

Added grip tape because the wheel is too slippery. 5-star reviewers don't sweat apparently...
This is one of the few times I get annoyed with other reviewers. There's so many 5-star reviews for this product that it confounds me. It is a perfectly okay product. Meaning maybe 4-stars. I will tell you why I give it only 3. But first, I'm going to directly accuse all of my 5-star besties of not properly using progressive overload with this grip product. Don't worry 5-star besties, I still love you. Moving on, I started with 5lbs on the wheel exercise. Within two weeks I was up to 10lbs. Things are going great at this point. But I'm noticing that the wheel is getting harder to control. I have to wipe off my fingers every couple of reps. In spite of that, I quickly got to the point where I could wheel up-and-down a 10lb plate 10 times before I ended up with an awkward, limp-handshake grip. Now here's where things start to get crazy. I can do 20lbs/9kg reps. I have the grip strength to make that wonderful, pickle-jar twist with a 20lb weight. But WAIT! What's this? My little finger is collapsing under my ring finger. And my ring finger is receding from the wheel! OH NO- The wheel falls... The sudden shriek from the weight plates causes me to jump back. Disheartened, I call on myself to try again. The wheel falls... It turns out that I have the strength to manage the 20lb weight, but only if my hands are completely dry. I find that to be an unreasonable design flaw in how the wheel is corrugated and/or perhaps the type of plastic used. That brings me back to all of the 5-star reviews I perused before spending $50 on this sturdy, yet slippery, forearm tool. Do they not sweat? Am I a garbage, overly-sweaty human? Oh, the mental anguish this product has caused me. How could all of these fellow customers be so enamored with this product for me to find myself as an anomaly? It must be the sweat. It has to be. If I can "dry" grip a 20lb rep with comfortable effort, then it can't be a strength issue, can it? No. It has to be the sweat. My sweat. My sweat is a curse. My sweat is sin... Worry not my 5-star friend. I have committed to bettering myself. I will forego the efforts of strengthening my grip. I will put my efforts into a much more meaningful venture. I will learn how to not sweat. I will become sweatless. Sinless. So, anyway, I don't like that I had to spend an extra $10 on tape to get this $50 product to work properly. But there aren't any other tools like this one as far I can tell. I think that if the corrugated divots in the wheel were more substantial, I wouldn't be having an existential crisis. Thank you for reading, Ky

Feel the burn 🔥
I’ve tried a lot of different wrist/forearm trainers over the years and this one is the most effective. I find the narrow 2” grip bar much more challenging than wider diameter bars. As for the wrist trainer, the barrel is fairly wide and hard to get your fingers around (which is good). My only recommendation is to make sure you have some gym chalk handy as the wrist trainer is polished plastic and you’ll lose grip with sweaty hands.
