Real deal
Honestly, one of the nicest shaving products I’ve ever used. I figured with the reviews it was going to be at least somewhat decent but it far exceeded even those expectations. Just like everything else you may have read in the other reviews, smells amazing, lathers up extremely well, little bit goes a long way and my skin does actually feel better after a shave. Kinda the real deal.

Awesome soap, love it!
Great shaving soap by HC. This is the first time for me to use this soap and I have to say it is brilliant. Cames in a nice box and wrapped in plastic. Smell awesome and kind of smooth. Good thing is that my wife likes it as well, as usually she wouldn't like the smell of products for men that much. So it is really smooth, soft and leaves the face soft as well, you can smell it but it's really a gentle scent. It fit perfect in one of my shaving cups, I did heat it up a little bit so it took the shape of the bowl, but it was really close fit in the first place. It makes really nice lather as well, you really need few strokes over the soap to get amount that is going to be enough for one shave. In the photos attached I circled the brush around on top of the soap for about 10 times and it gave me enough lather for a good shave. It all depends how you like to make it, but I don't like when lather is too firm and thick, I do like it to be softer a little bit and I can do that easily with this soap. Once when on the face it will dry out pretty quick and make the face softer, then I would usually apply soap one more time and shave in few minutes after that, with the amount of soap I had here I had more than enough to cover the whole face 4 times. It is really a nice shaving soap and I enjoy using them for day to day shaving. This one will probably last me around a year or so, I do have other soaps as well so I kinda rotate between them, depending on my mood and how do i feel. :-) Thanks

It looks left my face felling great!
Fabulous shaving soap! Very easy to leather, left my skin feeling very good after a great shave It's a little more money than some other soap, but in my view it's worth it.

This is a great soap that leaves the skin soft post shave.
I switched to double-edged shaving (DE) roughly six months ago and I’m still learning about this awesome way to shave. One of the most important item needed for DE shaving is the soap. If you go to cheap/poor quality, the soap will leave your skin dry, but also each soap will react with the skin differently. Since I started, I have used two different pucks and a paste. Pucks can be difficult at first on a getting a good lather and pastes are a little easier to use, but don’t last as long. With that being said, here is my opinion on this soap. The Henry Cavendish Himalaya Shaving Soap with She Butter and Coconut Oil is a nice shave soap. The soap does whip up into a nice lather. The nice thing with this soap that I noticed with other soaps is that if you add to much water, you can keep whipping it up to get the consistency you desire. The soap produces a nice thick lather in a short amount of time. It applies to the skin nicely and holds its form throughout the shave. The aroma is nice, but not my cup of tea. I am not sure what it is about the aroma I dislike, but there is something about it that I’m not too fond of. It is recommend to us some form of after shave when ever shaving. However, if you forget to apply some, this soap will not leave your skin dry. The shae butter and coconut oil does wonders here. I am defiantly going to check out the other soaps in their line and who knows, I might find a fragrance I really like.

Best shaving soap--revisited
This is the absolute BEST shaving soap I've ever used. So far I'm getting a good lather--and plenty of it. The true test will be if this is the case for the life of the soap puck, or if it peters out when the puck gets smaller and harder. BUT, conjecture aside, based on the past two weeks I'll be making this my go-to. UPDATE: With some products the start and the finish aren't the same. Not so with Henry Cavendish's shaving soap! It hasn't dried out and continues to provide a great lather...and the puck's almost gone! Already ordered a new one. HCHSS will be my shaving soap of choice from here on out.

Great Scent, Smooth Lather, and Long-Lasting
This shaving soap delivers a fantastic experience from start to finish. The Himalaya scent is fresh and masculine without being overpowering, and it lingers just enough after the shave to feel clean and refined. It lathers up easily into a rich, creamy foam that provides excellent glide and helps prevent irritation. The shea butter and coconut oil make the shave feel smoother and more moisturizing than standard soaps, leaving skin comfortable instead of dry. The puck itself is long-lasting and I can see it holding up for months of daily use, which makes it an excellent value. For anyone who enjoys the ritual of a traditional shave, this soap is a great choice. Between the scent, performance, and longevity, it’s a five-star addition to any shaving kit.

Great Shave Soap!
Shaving Soap with Shea Butter & Coconut Oil. Long Lasting 3.8 oz Puck Refill. All Natural Shave Soap. Rich Lather Gives a Smooth Comfortable Shave. I have been using Henry Cavendish shaving soap for a week now and can say without doubt, this is a great shave soap. I recently returned to a double edge safety razor (I am old enough to have learned to shave with one, but gave it up for the now way too expensive multi-blade razors), and I was having difficulty finding a good soap. My search is over. I have a heavy beard and shaving has never been my friend. Using Henry Cavendish soap, I noticed the difference the first time I used it. Lathers well, lubricates well, and leaves your face feeling smooth. No nicks/cuts or razor burn. It is scented, but only lightly and it is a pleasant scent. I was a bit concerned when I saw how big it is. I purchased a small "mug" (actually a bowl) and it filled it to the top which would make it difficult to work into a lather. I followed their directions and placed the soap in the microwave for 20 seconds and not only did it fit the bowl perfectly, it allowed me to concave the top just enough to help me work up a good lather. Buy this soap, you won't be disappointed.

Good product
I was a little worried with some of the negative reviews but gave it a try anyway. Also got the ceramic shave cup which is nice. Did what they recommended: put the soap puck in the bowl and microwave for a few seconds. I think I did 10 and was surprised it liquefied it completely. It cooled and became perfectly solid again with a perfect fit in the bowl. I followed their directions: put a little water on top of the soap (I used a small amount 2 mm deep maybe) and wet a badger brush, wrang it out to about 80% wet. Then just went in circles over the soap until it went from a slurry to having bubbles then to a rich creamy whipped cream look. Feels great on the skin - don't just slap it on, work it in with fair amount of pressure with the brush - that's what it is for. Very smooth and moisturizing- good shave. Better than the shaving gel I had been using and better than he canned Barbasol creams. As for the smell, it has an understated smell. I think it mostly smells like shea butter. Not obtrusive at all - a masculine smell I suppose. However I'm sure my cologn would completely overshadow it for the females wondering about it (I'm sure you wouldn't smell this over purfume). In fact it smells like a shea butter lotion unless my smeller is off. Good buy. By the way the matching cup could fit 2-3 of these at once. I wouldn't go past 2 at once just to make sure there is room to whip up a lather.
