Works great on my mini dirt bike for the kids. Installed in about 20 minutes. Put gas in the tank and it fired right up on a cold day without choking it. We’ve put about 6 hours on it now and it still runs really strong. It was installed on a coolster 49cc bike. My wife and I have ridden it a bunch ourselves and after about 4 hours we burnt the clutch up. I bought a 75mm heavy duty two paddle clutch for $11 and installed that in about 20 minutes also, including setting the tension on the chair afterwards. The new clutch (red spring) grabs very early in the rpms which my kids like. Overall it’s worth the fun, considering what it costs to go to a go kart track nowadays.

It says race engine but it's the exact same as the stock engine! People report 46 and 49mph, they must be pushing it up to 20 to get it going! The 14t gear on front will not even pull out with my 6 year old son on it! If you want a direct replacement you will be fine as long as you use your stock cog! If you want performance stay away! JUNK!

This motor is badass. Right out of the box it fired up second pull and runs like a raped ape. I'm 150 pounds and it gets me going 40 mph. Highly recommend.

Ngl this engine did exceed my expectancies. I weigh 180lbs and this engine can push me 28mph downhill and 25 on flat ground with full throttle. And my friends who are lighter can go even faster. Only issues I have with it is the clutch did wear fast and the gear box is starting to make clicking sounds but that can be because me and my friends aren’t gentle with the throttle. 2 things to note. One the pull start sucks, it broke the first ride this bike had but luckily I had a replacement and 2 the air filter came a little smooshed from shipping.

Good price, exactly what I ordered. Looks great, performs great! Did take some time to receive it, but it is worth the wait and every penny! If I ever need another replacement, I will buy again!

Was on the fence about buying this, but gave in and did it. Instant regret on arrival. No manual or anything. The piston was bottom dead center and thus the cylinder was open to air due to the lack of an exhaust port cover. There was no oil in the cylinder to lubricate the piston. Not a big deal as long as you don’t pull the cable and scratch up the cylinder before checking. Hopefully it was on a clean cargo ship and didn’t get any dust inside. The air filter however was quite throughly oiled for some reason. Had to use a paper towel to soak it up. Upon doing this I noticed many scuff marks, scratches and chips in the red paint. Ultimately, I was discouraged with the overall quality and didn’t ever bother firing it up. Set my project back a bit. Guess you get what you pay for. Now I have a stinky paperweight. Oh yeah, did I mention it smells to high heaven from the oil soaking the air filter? I would gladly send it back for a refund, but Amazon does not allow return of “flammable materials”. But they sure will ship “flammable materials” right to my doorstep.

A good engine for the price. I used it on a goped. It lacks the power of similar 49cc 2 strokes. Unfortunately it uses a float type carberator, which mean it requires gravity to deliver fuel to the carb. So the fuel tank must be above it. It continuously stalls once it warms up.
