Yeah--- this does work... but not optimally, Provided you've followed the basic principle of siphoning by having the receiving vessel a couple of feet lower than the donor, and the hose clamps are tight, you should be able to transfer fluids. The problem (for me anyway) is the soft vinyl tubing. It tends to collapse at every twist, turn and bend - severely restricting the flow. The provided clip, that is meant to keep the tubing from collapsing at the exit point did not fit on my gas can. That and the 1/4 inch inside diameter of the tubing, meant that it took AGES to get 4 1/2 gallons of gas into my car's gas tank! The rubber bulb worked very well in getting the siphon started, Another problem is - you can't see the clear tubing inside the can. It becomes invisible once submerged so if you try to peek into the gas can to make sure it's at the bottom - you're out of luck. A dark-colored plastic foot at the end of the hose would help in that regard.. (I ended up twisting a metal nut at the end of the tubing, which worked well) If the tubing was more stiff and the bottom inch or two was a dark color ( or weighted) then this siphon hose from KATUMO would be a 5 star review.

Great product and exactly as described. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. Quality exceeded my expectations for the price. Quality material that last long. I would definitely order this again and recommend it to others.

I was not able to get this to work without the receiving container being lower than the supplying container, which was a fuel tank. I tried to do it like it said the instructions where both are at the same level, but it would not draw a siphon. It worked, but it was really slow. I had about 10 gallons that need to be pulled out of a fuel tank that I dropped from my vehicle and it probably took a little more than two hours.

It pretty low quality, but all appear the same, so no options for this. I needed this for a specific job - how it had to be done; the only way/method. The internal ball valve immediately failed - use finger over exit hole for that suction. Also, the valve appeared to get stuck and the ball remained flattened - no re-draw to inflate. So, once the valve broke, it seemed to work. Once I got it "started" I just popped the Ball off - no need for the little light weight (useless) spring clips - once the Ball was off, it flowed much better. So, one could plan on tossing it out when done, etc. The ball might be "pure" ? rubber, as that goes... lots of black came out initially, so, unless using it on pure water and storing it in a UV shielded container - it'll turn to dust soon enough; it's not a robust tool at all. Moreover, the aluminum, with all of that above - just seals the low quality opinion of it. So, if need it and all the rest above, one knows what to expect. Oh, even the tube, arrived with multiple kinks which tended to collapse and no amount of hot water to re-form it mattered. Those spots I had to keep an eye on for collapse. I think, just get some good, thick wall tubing and a starter ball/suction and go that route if understand how stuff used to be done. I should have known better I guess, too. I hope that helps someone!
