No, it is fitted with Hardlex glass. Hardlex is Seiko's own type of glass. It's generally thought to be better than mineral glass, but not as good as sapphire glass. It's not as scratch resistant as sapphire, but is less prone to shattering if struck by a hard object.

The indices and hands have usual good Seiko lume which lasts through the night. The bezel is not lumed.

It's Roman numeral from 1 to 7 but it has it in English too so not to worry. Most seikos have dual ones like French/ English or Japanese/English etc. All you have to do is set to English.

Straight pins with a burr ,will only tap out one way which is indicated by arrows. Easily adjusted with a small electrical screw driver if you haven't the correct tool.
