Grandson loves it. We enjoy shooting it. Great value for the money.

This is a very powerful gun depending on how many times you pump it. It has very nice accuracy and enough power to kill birds from a distance. It can be hard to pump at first, but you will eventually build enough muscle to pump it easily and fast. There are a few downsides though. Instructions ever said how to use the pellets/clip. And the pellets and bbs this gun comes with are low quality.Overall, its a very good gun for the price. Very accurate, very powerful(depending on how much you pump it), and great for small game hunting.

Originally bought for a 7-year old that was introduced to them at BSA camp. I intend to teach him safe gun handling rules before moving up to something more serious.Read the instructions for the gun. At first, I was pretty disappointed with the gun. As I was sighting it for my son, it had horrible range and the bb's wouldn't load. Instructions do have a purpose and upon reading them - I learned that once you have the bbs in the reservoir you need to then load them into the 'hopper' so they'll be available to fire. Additionally, this gun can be pumped up to 10 times to improve the range. We were getting 100 feet pretty easy at a 10 pump. The pellet loader is nice, but it's a bit sticky to move to the next round. It loads pretty smooth. You do have to be careful not to load a bb in with it, if you haven't properly unloaded bbs out of the hopper.Sighting was a bit of a problem. The normal sights are "straight/true" for the out-of-the-box gun. However, the additional scope is plastic and wriggles a bit on the gun, even after tightening. Anyone familiar with a scope that moves (event a bit) knows that you can never really ensure accuracy. It's helpful, but just don't expect to be picking off everything you see.As a last note - a 7 year-old will have difficulty pumping the gun. Even a 10-year old had a bit of difficulty pumping up to 10 times. Please be mindful of this and always supervise kids to ensure they're pointing the gun downrange, using the safety goggles, enabling the safety on the gun, etc...

I am very happy with this. I purchased it for my 7 year old christmas this year. I took it out and tried it out. You can not shoot the pellets without the pellet clip but it does come with it, but being her first gun I would like it better if we did not have to have the clip as it may get lost. It does not come with very many bbs and pellets so You will want to make sure and have more for the day you give it but is enough to verify that it works. Love that it comes with the glasses and targets.

Loved the gun and was so easy to use but the butt broke off after only 2 months!

I purchased this in May on sale and have been waiting the rest of the year to give this to my son for Christmas because he's been asking for one all year. I even wrapped it up and hid it in the corner, just like 'the movie'. He was SOOOOooo excited when he finally found it an opened it.Unfortunately, cracked and if fell apart in his hands on the very first test pump, also pinching/cutting his hand slightly in the process.I grew up with a crosman bb gun I got at the same age, and that thing was so rugged and sturdy and took so much abuse and never gave me one issue. I loved that gun and it served me well for many many years. And now, this one barely even made it out of the box before literally crumbling in my son's hands.I have no idea what happened to Crosman quality in the years since I was a kid, but this is very saddening and dissapointing. This was not the Christmas memory we had hoped for.And, since I bought it in May, I have no way to return to Amazon. I'm really hoping Crosman does the right thing to make this up to us - and most importantly, my son.

Works great just what I needed

For a plastic little air rifle, this thing will get the job done! Shocked the crap outta me when, first shot outta the box, I took out a little varmint with probably the cleanest shot I've ever made (right behind the ear)! And it's been pretty darn consistent too! Been a few months, and my varmint problem is almost non-existent now! Definitely recommend!
