Loved how thick the pages were, beautiful cover, great stories. The photography is amazing, would definitely recommend buying.

I don't normally write a review for a book, but this one is my absolute favorite! It is difficult for me to find inspiration for my future home from typical home magazines because I do not like too many colors and chaotic decorations. Most of the photographs in this book are something I can see in my own home. It is elegant but simple and relaxing at the same time. There are more photographs than writing in this book which is what I prefer for interior design books. The writing is easy to read and the author gave good suggestions on how to recreate the style in the book. If you love white and neutral colors, this book is a must have!

This book gets a wow on m measurement meter. First off the author is up front and says she’s not a interior designer, but a person who likes certain looks. It’s not 100% white. She mixes in muted, blacks and neutral tones. Be advised though, that while this book shows how white can work, if you’re into minimalist styling, the pictures lean towards farmhouse and European ideas. I am a minimalist with sensibilities that lean too Scandinavian and industrial. That said, I found many ideas to love in this book. The writing is easy and light. As a coffee table book, it is a 15 on a10 point scale. Love it.

Absolutely, stunningly gorgeous photos!! I specifically bought this book after seeing the author's house on pinterest and wanting to see a larger pic. It was a refreshing change from all the instagram "designers" turned authors. The designs all seem to be rooted in natural materials (wood, marble, etc) but yet still manage to look refined and sophisticated. My only critique of the book is I wish it delved a little more into the "how" of design. Even a paragraph in passing on how the author manages to keep her linen sofas so white despite having a family. Still, I found lots of inspiration here. Really dreamy and serene.

The photos in the book were very serene and captured the essence of what the author intended - to create a spa like experience that draws you and invites you into a space. It did exactly that and I wanted to just jump into each of the page and imagined a personal tour of each home. Each room was carefully (& thoughtfully) curated and obviously had a story to tell. I was very inspired by this book because I am in a transition in my own home going from browns/beige outdated Tuscan to a more clean and sophisticated neutral space. I didn't know how to create a spa like environment that didn't look like a cold, white space. While I loved neutral palettes that tend to lean towards a clean white space, I was afraid that having too much white would scream "hospital like" and appear uninviting to my guests. Through this book, I learned that you can create clean white space with textures to keep a clean and sophisticated look and still have character. Color in the photos, while more muted, is not lacking and she achieves this through dramatic contrasts in textures. Another trick I learned is layering various colors of white to give the illusion of color but in a more restrained fashion. I especially loved both of the author's homes - stunning, creative, whimsical and serene - I would live there and change nothing! The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is I agree with other reviewers. This book would benefit from the same design aesthetics within modest homes and if the author also gave more insight on how to creates the vignettes and how she approaches a room's conceptual design. The author claims she is not an interior decorator however I believe her audience would greatly benefit from her creative approaches to 'filling the blank canvas' so to speak. Nonetheless, it was worth the price. It is a permanent fixture on my table and already purchased another as a gift to share with someone else.

5 stars for the book! ZERO starts for the condition of delivery! I REALLY do want this book but will NOT spend money on a ripped or dirty cover! Ordered twice BOTH times cover is NOT in good condition.

If you are looking for a coffee table book, this is amazing. The hard cover is so sleek and white, would fit with any style. The inside is gorgeous as well. Despite the other reviews, my book did not come damaged whatsoever. Would recommended ! Also makes a great gift for your interior design friends.
